does disconnecting the battery, holding down on the brake for 10 seconds, waiting a minute then reconnecting the battery hurt anything??? that successfully resets the CEL (SES)

i used that ghetto-method to clear mine when i kept getting a maf code when i was having trouble installing my ignition harness.

I used to just unplug my battery at night and plug it back in when I woke up in the morning. If you want to have a little fun, just review technosquares writeup (at their website) on how to reset your ecu. It's almost around the line of "simon says" . . . if you don't follow it correctly, you're out!
