you guys said that it comes with a piggy back ecu..so you dont need tuning...!!! however..the piggyback is programmed for 91 octane...and the only available octane here where i'm from is 95 and 98 octane...how does that affect??

thanks in advance.

Moose just see Ivan (I've given you his contact details) you have one of the best engine tuners and he's Dubai...........he will tune your Z perfectly for your local fuel octane and environmental conditions..............you've got to be happy with that.

Thanks

As I mentioned above I picked up my '04 roadster yesterday after having the APS TT kit installed. I still haven't had a chance to really run the car but just the short time I have had it I managed to scare the hell out of me at least twice. This car is super fast. I have never driven anything like it. I swear it must do 0-60 in 4 secs.

I took the car back to the shop today because i didn't like all the smoke coming out the exhaust. I understand that TT's will cause some smoke but what I'm getting is way too much. We suspect that oil is being forced into the engine through the PCV and being burned and expelled in the exhaust. Alpine was at the shop today with the same problem on his APS TT 350Z. We have a call into APS ' engineering for their ideas on what might be going on.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

[i]. Turbonetics i think is an awesome kit. it puts down the same power, ya maybe it has just a tad bit of lag, but its half the price, [/B]
Just to clarify one point you are making a huge assumption if you think that this single turbo will put down the same power as a stock APS TT system................The stock APS TT system is capable of over 500 WHP with just adding a set of rods and pistons...............nothing else.

That's not to say that a single ball bearing turbo is not capable of big power on the Z engine though you need to consider the entire turbo system, not just the turbo size only.

Thanks

Very interested to hear more about this smoke problem. Please keep us updated!

Peter, can you comment on the availability of APS TT kits in the coming Summer? I understand that right now they're almost impossible to get. I'm all lined up to buy a kit this summer, so was wondering what availability and lead times are. Thanks!

Mine is being installed right now with many other things. I will post a review when it is finished, another after the car is broken in, I add a couple things, and it's tuned.

Is the MOD list in your signature for real? If so, I feel quite sorry for whatever sucker in just about any car thinks he's going to compete with you....

My jealousy is overwhelming!!!!!

It's very real and in the making

The car will be done in 1-2 weeks. After break in period fuel upgrades will be added and boost will be turned up. Also a full tune at that time.

I have to agree, as kcobean pointed out, that is the most kick-*** list of mods I've seen too date.

No Clutch? I am sure you missed it in your sig. What are you using?

My APS setup is being done right now at CJ's shop and I have a very similar set of mods 9.5:1 pistons and Pauter rods etc. etc. etc.....

Never mind I see the JWT clutch and flywheel in your sig. I went with the Unorthodox Feramic 6 puck and flywheel.

This is something that i've wanted to do for a long time. I wasn't planning on the california smog system getting in my way. My business revolves around fixing cars. Working at my shop allowed me to meet people that can help me when it comes to smoging the car again.
