I don't think so since I experience a rather jumpy idle once TT'd. It was actually more pronounced with my UR Crank pulley . . . once removed, it stabilized it just a bit, but definitely not a cure all. I've got my hunches on the erradic idle, but only time will tell.

APS OWNERS: Does any of your vehicles have an erradic idle?

I have always had an erratic idle and gets smooth or rises slightly making it better with the ac on.

I will try the auto mode again, last time it was odd after trying to learn at 6 psi I kept driving and went to 7 so I quickly went back to manual.

Yup! I keep my ac unit on to control the idling. Seems to kick up the rpms by 100 or so, which appears just enough.

I guess the irratic idle is common on all the Greddy TT cars. Hey you guys see my screen shot on the E-01? on the top right corner, I have the autoP blinking everytime. Now is that normal or is the E-01 trying to learn something. Cause I had it blinking ever since I got my car out of the shop. I dont know what it means either cause I am a noob at this.

Well i dont have the vaccum lines connected to the wastegates for the booost controller. And i am still getting boost spikes. I decided not to connect them so that i wont accidently hit the **** in the e-01 controller and get a huge boost spike as ZRAYGO did.

If it is still blinking then it has not finished the learning mode which is probably why you are getting spikes.

the light is suppossed to go off after it finishes the learning mode.

I would put in manual mode to be safe until you can perform the auto mode.

Choose manual instead of auto and input the following:
Set=0
Gain=10
Start=3.5

If still spikes then lower the Gain to 8 and see, but it shouldn't, by much anyway.

Well when you set it to leaning mode the Auto light comes on and you do some runs until the light starts to flash, at this point it has learned the stock boost and then you do runs until it reaches the target boost and the light is suppossed to go off.

Okay I got the auto icon on the top right hand corner to stop blinking now. Does that mean it already got the learning mode down? And if so for how many pounds of boost? I have it on lo; auto; set: 5.6; gain: 10; start: 2.8. Now is this correct?

You got it, that should be it, it should be boosting to 5.6 psi, if it spikes too much then lower the gain a tad to maybe 8 and see but I would be concerned if it spikes to say 6 or so.

For anyone with the same settings that lives in a wintery area, don't be surprised to see the boost creep up to 6psi (sub 50 degree temps) . . . It's 18 degrees here

Here is how the screenshot looks after the autop on the top hand corner stop blinking. Now it is supposed to stay bold like that right? Before it was blinking bold on and off. see for yourselves:

I still can't figure it out, I had it learn 6 psi and during hard accel it works fine but when I was cruising on the highway and acceled in 4th or 5th I got a 7+ peak so I went back to manual.

Hmmm . . . that's odd. Mine works just fine with the settings like in the pic above. On occasion, I might get a peak of 6psi, but it doesn't surprise me with the blistering cold temps.

I have mine set like you told me 350G...But I still get spikes from 5.8-6.0, that is a little lower than what it was before. Now the temp here gets around 45-50 degrees...maybe that might cause the spikes?

Lower temps will cause it to spike a bit . . . 6lbs shouldn't be something to worry about.

I'm curious if anyone has ever timed how quickly the waste gates are capable of opening. Is it possible that boost is building quicker than the vaccuum can get the gates open, thus causing the brief spike? I'm new to this whole thing, but since so many people are experiencing this with the GReddy kit, maybe it has something to do with a mechanical actuation limitation of the gates on the Mitsu Turbos. Sound feasible, or am I way off base here?
