Default PLain and simple

If you do forced induction there is a 75% chance that u will blow your motor is this a fact or is there a way to bolt a turbo/sc on with out having to worry. And what is safer s/c or turbo

There is no set rule.

There are too many variables involved when it comes to FI.

In my opinion its all in the tune. A good quality tune will go a long way.

I wouldnt say that there is a 75% chance....more like a 25% percent chance. Since I think you've been following the posts over the past few months, you know that there are just soooooo many variables that are at play, in terms of what engines will survive and which ones will not. You can avoid some of the risk with proper tuning, fuel, and other precautions. You might want to keep you boost under 6psi as well.

Even so, there is still a risk of damage....as is always the case when you add F/I. Make an informed decision, make sure your budget can sustain the "other" potential costs of F/I.

In terms of safety out of the box...the APS kit seems to be the best solution out there. But I guess only time will tell.

Good luck!

Yep stock psi and a conservative tune are key.

Default Peace of mind?

When I put down a deposit for the APS kit I was not intending on building up my engine. But shortly after that there was a rash of blown engines. One engine in-particular ( Jurgen's ) blew at stock boost setting even with other safegards ( knock sensor ) in place.
For myself.... I believe the closest thing to "peace of mind" going forced induction on our N/A designed cars is to build up the internals. Then longevity will be at least be possible along with reliability on a forced induction 350Z. All that being said... without an experienced tuner doing a good job ...nothing else matters with forced induction.

I noticed you are in Florida imcool. So you have 93 or 94 octane fuel available to you ( unlike our crap 91 ) here in California. So as long as your gas station isn't sellling bunk gass....you will have added protection against detonation. At least more of a safety margin than us in 91 octane states. When is Arnold the Govenator going to address this issue here in California ??

35% of the time, a twin turbo on a 350z will blow the motor, if 50% of the time you are pushing WOT, only if WOT is really 80% of the injector duty cycle, which, in turn 65% of the time will be safe for 50% of the involved vehicles...
People can make up statistics for anything they want, 40% of everybody knows that!

69% of all statistics are made up on the spot (including this one).

I wish it were that easy. Guys have blown properly tuned motors at well under 7psi.
