Default Vortech Engine Pics

I finally got a digital camera so let's see if this works. Here's a pic of my engine bay. Hopefully!

Hmmm apparently not. Anyone have any idea how I can post a pic from a digital cam saved on my laptop. I'm assuming I have it formatted incorrectly.

if u were trying to attach it through the "attach file" thing at the bottom, it was either not a gif or jpeg, or it was too big. use photoshop to change the image size to make it under ~75kb.

if you have a way to host it on a website, you can use the [img] code as follows (without insertion operators) :
"[img]<http://yourpicture.jpg>[/img]"

more info on this can be found in the FAQ in the upper right hand corner

Let's try this again. I posted a link so hopefully it works. I apologize for my inexperience with this stuff.

Cool. So the Crawford strutbar DOES work with the Vortech. Did you have to modify anything? I heard that it would touch the cogged pulley on the jackshaft...Looks like I need to call Doug

where is the filter ? was it relocated ? if so, i would LOVE to do this to mine, it'll be a b.i.t.c.h. for me to clean mine or change it when needed. does anyone have a suggestion on how to change the filter from the stock location of the vortech ?

Thanks Aaron, same to you! Getting a JWT clutch and Nismo flywheel installed at AAM in a couple weeks. Then I'm doing their entire fuel system upgrade with 440cc injectors. I'm doing the fuel system install myself and gonna see if I can get the R4 to effectively tune the system. I'll take pictures... Then back to AAM for a dyno!

I was surprised it fit as well... I did have to use some additional spacers to raise the strut bar up about 1/4" to provide addtional clearance. Then the hood braces were hitting the strut bar and not allowing the hood to close the whole way. I marked the area on the hood braces where it was contacting the strut bar and then heated up a little with a butane torch. the I basically pounded a dent in the hood brace until it fit around the strut bar and the hood closed flush. I'll take pics if I remember today.

Check the second pic... You can see the filter sitting on top of the intercooler.
