On the 4 rib verses 6rib, I completely agree with you, but wonder if this isn't due to Eaton/Magnusson rather than stillen. I had SC on Miata in past. Just guessing that they may get the kit with the pully preinstalled and set from Factory, then they integrate it into the application...seems like stocks are made of steel, when you go for the extra boost it seems that they are CNC aluminum..ie stillen makes these...I am still looking at this for my FX35, but don't want to have all the belt issues...I would guess I had to change it every 7K on the miata...
Every 500m-1K for me. I drive so little now, it translates into once every few months. As I start driving the car more, I'm sure this'll become a headache. With regards to belt possibly being TOO tight, I'll investigate. Last time, belt was slipping until we tightened it to its current state. With last cleanup I did, it may be possible to loosen it a bit. We'll see... I'm not doing anything until I receive my custom pulley from bldrz, and I've been waiting on it for close to 3 months now (yeah, I'm patient , could I get it now, Boulder Nissan, CO?).

Dealer is repairing my car on Tuesday. Stillen sent me new pulley assembly and shims. With the SC belts off my alternater still squeeks for 5 km. Voltage is low and when the gauge goes to 14 volts it runs fine. Replaced intercooler pump. Discharge hose was kinked 2/3 restricted. Pump was dead. Coroded wiring on pump.

The shim tilts one of the pulleys so they are aligned with the others.
No need to wait so long for the custom pulley. My friend can get one no problem. The problem is making the pulley 8 lbs exactly. He can cut it to be approximately 8 lbs, could be more or less. You should tune it & add a larger injector to up the boost though
