We've done extensive testing and when there isn't enough fuel in the tank for the pump to pick, the gas gauge will read empty.
Interesting enough, we have found the opposite to be true! Perhaps there is an inconsistency in production or some type of glitch that would cause one reading or the other... but there are definatly guys running out of fuel when their gauge read 1/4 tank, i have talked to them, and I have seen them post here.

Also keep one thing in mind... when the plug is in place the swirl jet is no longer functioning... so even in any case, having a plug can cause you to go lean as fuel leaves the catchcan.

So either way, better safe than sorry, right?! That is cool of you to offer that for free to your previous customers!!!

I look forward to hearing of your findings! The more we all know, the better.

Charles thanks for coming up with this product as well as the others you are working on, I will definelty get this as I couldn't justify the AAM costs for the overpriced rails so I got stock one modified and bought all of the hardware needed separately and will definelty get this as well as the fitting for the supply line you sell.

westpak: any business you send my way is appreciated!!

we are currently working on our rails, which is the last part of our stage ii fuel system. we will offer them seperately... I am not sure what is considering too much? PM me about it if you would like, I am kind of curious what you would like to see a pair of rails go for?

An OEM set of rails costs $100-110 US dollars. The AAM rails are precision machined and of very high quality. Worth the difference in cost over a modified set of OEM rails...I don't really know, but my shop was quite impressed with the AAM rails and had both sets to choose from. I'm confident that Charles will offer an excellent product as well.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember the AAM rails being offered for sale when they were first produced in late July 2004 at $500-$550.

hello guys!

there has been a lot of demand for this product since apparently a lot of people are having problems. Some of them are reporting to me that what is actually happening is that the fuel gauge acts normal until it hits about 1/4 tank... then will very rapidly go down to E with no warning when the passenger side tank must be empty. Maybe the people I have talked to that said they ran out at 1/4 tank, perhaps they meant the same thing or didnt notice the rapid fall.

Either way, who knows.

On Friday I will be shipping more of these kits. Or for those of you waiting for the entire stage II kit, i hope to post to you some detailed information end of next week. we are working out the production on a few components for it.

Oh, almost forgot my point to posting... because of all the emails and phone calls for this, i went ahead and got my website setup to accept secure paypal ordering... so far i only have it on this product on the website... i dont even have many products up on the site yet.

They been selling like crazy!!!

To those of you who have already purchased: I have updated the instructions. If you recall in my post first to this thread I talked about oversizing the swirl jet so you can bring you fuel pressure back down again. Information on this was not originally in the instructions, and I have added it.

This applies to EVERYONE who has purchased... since I just updated them right now.

Those of you who would like the updated instructions please PM me and I will email the file to you.

Those of you who have installed the kit... if you have anything you feel I should add to the instructions please contact me as well.

Thanks everyone!

-Charles
