Question for peeps having F/I?
I've been hearing horror stories of peeps blowing their stock motors with recommended PSI. For daily driving and racing do you use less than the recommended PSI, so you won't end up with a horror outcome of others or are you just rolling the dice to get 7:11 and if you crap out that's it!? I know it would be cheaper to go ahead and reinforce the motor with internals, than it would be to buy a new motor. I would like to hear it from both sides of the house (S/C and Turbos). TIA for all yall's input!
Here's some a link to some peeps that ran into serious car trouble. Might give ya some insight into your question.

Build up the motor if you are considering F/I...period. I took every precaution known at the time, as did Gurgen....and BOOM went the block.
You're close by, so check in with Greg at GSC Motorsports. He has my car now and is in the process of building up my blown motor. He is also working on a project N/A Z with a goal of 350whp. Give him a call...most of the mods in my sig were purchased through GSC Motorsports. (not a sponsored car)
