Default Vortech Gurus needed

Well i got done building my engine(see sig for mods) and now i want to up the boost. Right now i have on the 2.87 pulley w/the gates belt. I'm putting down 13lbs of boost and have 384rwhp SAE corrected(kinda low i guess) pm me or the dyno but trust me it looks perfect - 11.7 all the way to redline and 6 degrees of timing as well. My question is what is the next step to upping the boost(and if i hear turbo thats not the answer i am looking for ) has anyone put the 2.62 on? Booger what are you plans for boost with your built engine? What is the rating for the V2 that vortech supplies? how much can it handle safely(psi)? who might have some ideas to get more out of it. i would like 450rwhp SAE corrected. Is that possible? anything would be great.

13 lb's of boost with headers and test pipes ? WOW . Most are only getting 11 to 12 lb . The 2.6xx pulley is to small I believe , with out rubbing up against the jackshaft assembly....the 2.87 did on mine . Still think mine kit [ or jackshaft ] has to be different than most . Was your dyno done on a dynojet or a load base dyno ? To get more...the only thing I would think you can do is go with a bigger jackshaft pulley or a smaller blower pulley . Im surprised your only pulling 6 degree's of timing...what octane of gas are you running ? Send me your dyno graph and chart . I would like to see it . How many miles do you have on the new motor ? What kind of break in did you do ? ..... bjackson31@***.net

dynojet with 92 octane, the shop that it is at now (up in oregon) tried to put on a smallerblower pulley but the belt tension was too loose and there wasn't any more room on the tensioner to move it tight enough. and if i go to a larger jackshaft i feel like i might get too much boost. but i need to know what it can handle.
i'll send you the dyno.

Where did they get the smaller blower pulley ? I thought the only smaller one that Vortech had was for the Vett kit , and it stuck out to far and hit the fender well . If they still have it and are willing to sell it let me know . I would have tried to find a slightly smaller cog belt .

got it from vortech. and i have a special belt ordered form gates but it was too small. right now at the shop they have three cog pulleys and 3 different sized belts (stock cog, the smaller blower and the larger jackshaft) monday the shop is going to try to find a combination that will work. but i still need to know what the V2 is able to take.

Try the larger 3.12 serp , larger jackshaft and smaller blower . Vortech has on there site a blower speed calculator to let you know how fast the blower is turning . With upgraded bearings in the blower , I think you could turn it up to 65,000rpm

does vortech have upgraded blowers bearings available yet? it was hard to get anything out of them to find the right combination of pulleys. They said that i didn't need to switch out the cog belt and that it would fit fine.(which it doesn't) i will have the shop (or myself) do the calculations for the rpms in the morning. i'll also call vortech to see if anyone there knows what the limits of the V2 are.(shot in the dark) i'll let you all know what i get in terms of information Oh and if anyone knows where to find blower bearings let me know. not that i would jump right into them but it would be useful in case i do in the future.

You would have to send your blower to Vortech to have then upgrade it . Getting the info you need from Vortech can be hard . Try having the shop call....it will help if they are a certifide Vortech dealer and installer like the shop that did mine . By the way..your A/F looked really good and your not far off of what others have gotten for power with the 2.87
