Default Going to be a good thread. more mods

Ok guess I should start a thread seeing as this will be a first for this board and maybe even a first for HKS. Plus I can put AAM on the spot to do a great job LOL hint hint

As some of you know I had my car dynoed yesterday with nismo exhaust and the HKS SC kit. well I only put down 267 and 13.1 A/F not good and not what I was looking for. Problem seems to be a easy fix they are looking at a boost leak or belt problem. So I am going to have this fixed and also have the FCON V pro installed because I just dont like the the idea of not being able to tune the FCON S. Bad set up from HKS if you ask me. but anyway plans are to have this problem fixed and install the FCON V pro at the same time. Run a new dyno and see that the # and A/F is then.

After that I am having headers cats and plenum installed plus the AAM fuel sestem and 440cc injectors.

I will upate this thread as the progress happens. and here is my dynp from yesterday

I would be very interested on how this turns out. I would like to know if the HKS is capable of putting out more than 330rwhp.

Pumped,
The V Pro can only be tuned by certified pro dealers right? I think I may have to get an EMS but there aren't any pro dealers around me...

I was told that it also needs to be installed by a certified pro dealer as well... Install is nothing but plugging it in from what I understand...

Wonder if there are any certified pro dealers looking for a road trip to NJ... lol, serioulsy... I think this is a great solution and would be interested in talking to someone who would be willing to make the trip out for an install, and tune...

Only pro-dealers can tune the HKS F-Con V-Pro. All of them are listed on hksusa.com and then go to Dealer Locator.

dlin, AEM EMS? or did you just mean an engine management module? AEM EMS isn't out and probably won't be before the end of summer.

yea the way my car was running I just could wait for AEM to come out. Plus I feel keeping all HKS parts together is better.

Ok got a update now before I was only pushing .4 bars of boost. AAM needed to find out why and do a Compression test. everything is working right now I am at .6 bar at about 7k. Compression Ranges from 195 to 205 The FCON V pro is in and they are doing a few runs with that and ge that working right.

Thanks AAM things are taking a turn for the better

what was keeping it from the extra .2 bar? I know the stock kit is suppose to run around 7psi, but personally I'm only seeing about 4 or 5. I figure it was just my plenum and tp.

Dont really know bro. but they are guessing the car is pulling timing at higher RPM's right when I should be making peak power but its fixed now so if that was the problem I dont know. Soon as they get this FCON V up and running and all the mods added I dont think there will be any problems the FCON cant fix. Plus the fuel rails will help with a better platform to work off.

As for updates I am waiting on some now. Snow really set this finnish date back but with the way the roads look I dont plan on picking the car up anyway. dont want the sand blase effect you know.

I would like to hear your impressions of the F-Con V-Pro, as far as the capability of this thing to work off of itself (I heard you can set an a/f ratio and it will adjust the ECU to run that exact a/f ratio on it's own ).

Looks like the timing issue was spark blowout. There were stock plugs in the car with stock gap. I'm suprised it was not bucking at higher rpms. That's how bad the graph looked. We always do one heat range colder and .33 to .35 gap on all FI setups. HKS actually recommends two steps colder.

This is true the A/F Knock amp does allow closed loop operation, but not even a wideband can react fast enough at WOT. Normally you tune the maps as close as possible then let the A/F Knock amp take over and make small corrections and control idle and cruise conditions for economy.
