Wow, you did it right... the TT and built motor all at once. Congratulations and welcome to FI. I noticed you said the A/F was a steady 12.5. That seems a little on the lean side, even with a built motor and race gas. For the extra HP you gain, you risk detonation of a pricey engine.

Very Very nice Marin. That is one sweet ride. I also have a silver stone and just was imagining my car in the future while looking at yours!!
What ideas do you have to give yourself the best traction possible? Also ... do you expect to be able to smog your car when the time comes? I know APS is still working on getting their C.A.R.B. exception number but I ask because of the addtional compliments to your car ( i.e. JWT cams, lower compression pistons )?
Enjoy and for God's sake be safe with that beast!!!!

I am considering the idea of getting some 18 inch Nismos so that I have a wider selection of tires. I like my Volks though.
Smog is not really an issue for me because I work in the auto industry and I know some people who can help me out.
Thanks for the comments and I will be safe!

Good God!!!!!! Obviously this car isn't your daily driver, right? Is this a show car or something for the weekends? What's the reason behind the building of this car? I mean you REALLY thought this out. Hope I'm not being too nosy.

So you must be waiting on the APS plenum to finish up your fuel system upgrade for your PSI goals? I hope you take that car to the track and see what kind of quater mile time you put down.... especially if you go with wider meats in the back for traction!

Yeah his car was done last friday. He's been to busy driving the thing I'm sure, to post! It was also delayed a week and a half or so, otherwise would have been finished earlier.

great work..and nice pics. The AF's seem a bit lean...but maybe not..if taken from a load based dyno. And idea what gear the dyno pulls were done it? Went I did some load based dyno pulls in 5th gear (not a great idea) my AF went to mid to high 12's vs. the 11's I was getting on a dynojet.
Also, did your engine builder install Carillo H Beams? Or A Beams? I hope it was the H Beams, becuase the A Beams are Carillo's economy rod, as stated in their literature, and not really that best application for 550whp plus F/I applications.

marluci7,
Would you happen to know how much your Tech would charge to install a turbo system straight up? Just the turbo. Im located in CA as well and I'm thinking of going FI but I dont really trust anyone around where I live to do the install. Let me know. Thanks.
