APS TT + Built Motor + More *Finshed* 56k beware
It may be the 1st car with that type of piston and rod, but ZCG and SGP have built many high-powered F/I cars with changed internals as well. Here is SGPs built 620RWHP, 561RWTQ Z33 with an 11.5 (pump) AFR with stock plenum @17.5psi of boost.

SGP uses Pauter rods in their build ups. I am concerned that several vendors are pushing the A-Beams, primarily becuase they are in stock and readily availbile..and cheaper than Pauter or others. The crappy thing about Pauter is that they are NEVER in stock, and that is making people, IMHO, choose lesser more readily availible rods..instead of waiting for the best components.
Don't get me wrong. Carillo makes awesome rods, but the H-Beams are the one to use on our application, not the A-Beam. It says so pretty clearly in the Carillo brochure.
All that said, with a good tune, I doubt you will have any problems. Guys are using stock rods to 500whp, and the A-Beams ar still going to be stronger than stock.

There's alot of companies building up the motors ... Alot of the companies are going with the pauter rods and arais pistons.. My builder looked at all the different companies selling the products and choose the best one for my application.. The carillo rod that we chose is actually a H-Beam not a A-Beam.
I couldnt see your pics...the server was too slow. If he used the H-Beams...thats awesome....they are great rods.
I have seen people use them in 1500whp race applications.

Congrats and then some. Great set up! Like gq_626 said, yeah the carillo H beams are awesome rods. Vinny Ten used them in the 8 sec. qtr. mile at something like 176 MPH 350Z that was putting down over 1300 hp at the wheels. When you're hot, your're hot! And that was a stock bodied 3000 lb 350Z, no less. Whew. You are in very good company, rod- wise. I will probably just go with the APS single turbo and stock internals (for a while, anyway), but a set up like yours is what I dream about! Normally I would wish you More Power as a nice parting salutation, but man, it looks like you already got More Power!! Lust lust...

Now, for whatever reason, Carrillo has been claiming that the A-beam is not rated for the application it is being used for. We have asked them if they will exchange the A-beams that we have sold for H-beams at no additional cost to the customer given that the A-beams were sold based on Carrillo's own statements. They have not yet given an answer to our request.
I honestly think that Carrillo is being conservative and the A-beam will prove to be sufficient for this application, however, I will not recomend them due to Carrillo's change in position.
As for the rod in the picture, that is a Carrillo A-beam and no, they do not look just like H-beams.

page 15 shows pics comparing h beam vs a beam
i'm not trying to be an a$$, but you better double check on your part..the h beam look NOTHING like the a-beam...
check out this link, it describes the difference..and i quote...
"Q: Are Carrillo Pro-A rods as strong as Carrillo H-Beam rods?
A: We make the strongest H-beam connecting rod for high performance appllications on the market. The Carrillo Pro-A rod is designed for LESS DEMANDING AND MORE ECONIMICALLY ORIENTED APPLICATIONS"
they also explain why the a beams are less expensive than the h-beam...what did you pay for the rods? that will tell you if they are a beam or h beam!!!

The rods used in your build up...no question...are A-Beams. here is the pic.

I would just make sure they you were charged roughly $1100 or so for the rods. if you paid $1500-$1700 for the rods, then he charged you the price of the H-Beams.
I wouldnt loose sleep over A-Beams...but just make sure you got what you paid for. I am surprised that your engine builder would tell you that he put H-Beams vs. A-Beams in the car. To me...that is the bigger concern. The rods look 100% different....not sure how you could mistake them.

How are those turbos? Any smoking issues?
