Are you able to put the gauges in the cubby and close it ? Ive got 2 in there [ wideban ] and a dual gauge [ fuel pr. and boost ] and Im able to slide them in the cubby and close it .

To each his own. It's quite functional and looks way better than an A-pillar pod in my estimation. A flash camera really doesn't do it much justice. The carpet is also functional--the light colored dash relectiions drive me crazy in sunlight. I could barely give a rats a$$ what purists think about it. I just want to drive my car without crashing into something. They got smart with the '05--willow interior now comes with a darkened dash.
Two gauges will fit inside the cubby but three won't. So, we went with a "floating gauge" set-up. I'm not aware of any other way to fit 3 gauges next to each other in a coupe without a pillar pod.

i hate to agree with narkotic, but he's right, i hope you didn't damage the dash when putting those in, i say take them out and get an a pillar with 3 pods, but it's your car, do what you like, even if you don't like the a pillar, it will look much more pimp with it on the pillar than with what you have, looks too bunched up.

I see what you mean. I still prefer it because it won't call too much attention to the car from the outside. Also, while a Z is designed more as a sport/race car, the G35 has a luxury slant for which the pillar pod just doesn't fit.

Does anyone know where I can get a an a- pillar for my G35 coupe (60mm x 3) ?
My Greddy TT kit should be ready in about 2 weeks and I'm planning to put the profec e-01 in the cubby.

I went with the 2 gauge set up so I could slide the gauges back in the cubby when not running hard and out on the town .I have the gauges mounted on a piece of stainless steel , that fit snuggly in the cubby . When its closed you cant tell a thing is any different from stock

An A-pillar pod will present your gauges to you more in your line-of-sight with the road. It will be safer than where you have them mounted now. An A-pillar pod will look much cleaner and custom-tailored. It will look understated, upscale and even luxurious if you paint it to match your Willow trim. Another nice touch would be to remove the black bezel guards on your Defi gauges to completely reveal the aluminum finish. I'm sure that would look good in my G35s, with my Willow interior.
Whichever way you go, keep an eye on those gauges!

any other guys on here wanna show their meter setups aside from the pillars? I'm looking for some ideas. Also since i'm going TT...which meters are a MUST to get? I had 4 in mind...but less would be better since i'm trying to do something on my pasenger side to fit.

If you do not have nav, three 52mm will fit in cubby. BUT, the larger (62mm) are a bit easier to read quickly on the fly. These pics are before AEM wideband was installed. AEM was able to fit OK. Nav cover can close completely. (Avalon did this install as well)
