Ok someone school me
I read the "whats the safest FI" thread and heard someone say that Vortech is good but only if you take care of the piggyback system. What is this?
The piggyback system is the engine management software and hardware that controls the fuel and/or timing of the car. The Greddy, APS, Vortech ATI, etc, all run some sort of piggyback to control fuel and/or timing. It is an issue that has to be addressed on any FI setup. Find yourself a good shop to tune it, and they can take care of this part for you.
it is the black box that you wired to the ecu. You are very safe with the tune it has from factory, but can fine to it to get more power. You ar prbably somewhere are 330rwhp. Other have gotten it up to 400-425 with a tune and a few extra mods.
