Question Question on greddy TT manifolds ???

Just got my tt kit in the mail today!! My question is should I get the turbo housings, manifolds and downpipes coated before install ? I mentioned this to a friend and he told me if i do the metal will not dispurse the heat properly and will break down the strength of the maifolds alot faster ( because it holds the heat in ). Just looking for some opinions for all you guys that have or havent had this done.

The coating helps keep the exhaust heat in the manifold and keeps underhood temps down a little more. An advantage of keeping the heat in the exhaust is it tends to help keep the exhaust velocity up and helps with slightly quicker spool-up of the turbo. It also keeps the cast parts from getting rusty and crappy looking.

Many have gone with the Greddy Type-S on the TT kits.

The HKS SSQV BOV is very nice sounding. I have the Blitz DD BOV and that is also very good. It's going to be personal preference though based on budget and sound as most BOV will work fairly well.

The coatings can be done both inside and out, and if done, it will actually strengthen the manifolds. The less heat they absorb, the longer they will hold up. Somewhat like a teflon coating on a cooking pan. Definitely do it now.
