I am considering APS turbo kit for my 2005 G35 with the 298hp engine; which is the same as the 2005 track&aniv.edition engines. Has anyone else put TT on one of these engines? Will I run into problems?

 

I think the roadblock right now for the 05's is the ECU, there isn't much available as far as tuning goes right now.

 

Yeah, they (APS) said they had to ask if their stuff would even work on my 2005 Z, and it's not even a 35th. I doubt the 05 G is ready yet. (The pic I saw of their test mule was not an 05!)

I think it's going to be a bit before the 05 ECU is cracked. I hope it's before the APS ST kit comes out because I plan on buying it!

 

It will be interesting to see what kind of power the new motors make. I'm guess less because with both cams having variable timing, I bet the ecu runs much more overlap in the high rpms. Great for making N/A power, bad for boost.

 

I am thinking as long as the Unichip piggyback works then it can be tuned; physically there are minimal (if any) changes to the outside of the engine so I think it will work.
