Default Routing all your gauges???

Im planning the install of all my gauges for F/I......

Just curious if anyone has any ideas on how/ where to run the wires for all my gauges... I would like to make it as clean as possible without too much modification/ drilling... and figure if I plan all this out before hand it will save some time.... Thanx in advance...

Personally, I would pick your top three gauges and put them in an Autometer 3 pod A-Pillar cluster. All of the wires can be routed directly through the firewall, and under the driver's side dash. There is a hole in the firewall on the driver side firewall, just behind the vaccum booster....that is where I routed mine through. I didnt have to cut any additional holes in the firewall.

So the A/F or EGT can be routed from infront of the cats past your header and then through the fire wall as you mentioned?? how should they be secured to prevent damage rom heat???? and once they are throught the firewall how did you route them through the dash???

As of right now I can visualize that the wires are under the dash... still wondering how to route them from there to the A pillar...

By the way thanx for info.....

Yup, just remember that the sensors are electronic, so the heat isnt coming into the cabin..or fuel or oil for that matter. There is an electronic sensor..mounted somewhere in the engine compartment. And from there, the wires will run back through the firewall. Safe and sound!

Where would everyone suggest that the Oil Temp sender be mounted? I am thinking that I am going to place it before the oil pressure sender.
