Default Questions for those w/ Stillen S/C

I've done mulitple searches and found lots of info on the Stillen S/C, but there isn't as much as I hoped to see. Hopefully some of you with the Stillen and also the Stillen rep on this board can help me out.

Basically, I've had a Roots style blower on my Prelude. It was made by Jackson Racing. I like the power delivery and tq band that these blowers offer for everyday driving. But in my search I've found that the 7psi kit w/ intercooler is the highest output offered at this time. This setup making somewhere in the 340whp and 300wtq range. I read that there will be more options in the future, is this a true statement? Does Stillen have plans to offer more stages with higher whp and wtq?

My 2nd question is about the use of other mods along with the S/C. I would plan to just make my Injen Cold air into a short ram intake and use it like that. Would this pose any problems? Also I have test pipes on my car and read that this causes a problem with running lean. Is this still the case or can I use the test pipes? My setup would be Injen short ram, Test Pipes and Borla True Dual Exh.

Also, has anyone looked into adding an NX intercooler along with their setup? Is it even possible to run the NX kit with the Stillen Intercooler setup? I'd be interested in seeing the results from this or maybe Alcohol injection, which is pretty popular in the S/C Honda/Acura world.

Thanks in Advance..

they have plans for upgrades, but other than the SRI and exhaust, you cant do other mods like test pipes.

Thanks.. I assume you can't add test pipes because it causes the engine to run leaner and there is no way to tune the kit supplied by Stillen. Would the addition of a fuel controller such as the SAFCII be a possibility? It seems that this would allow a tuner to set a perfect A/F for each rpm point.

Headers and Racepipes cause boost loss due to valve overlap.

Right 2003Z?

Correct, as I have personally experienced. Don't know about the safc, personally, I wouldnt want 3 computers trying to control the system.

Thanks alot for the info thus far. Is there any more info out there on what Stillen is working on in terms of upgrades? I'm sure I'd be happy with 340whp for a while but after a year or so I'd be looking to get into the 380-400whp range. It doesn't seem like this should be that hard.

I don't mean to sound like an ***, but have you tried calling Stillen?

I don't see why you need to make a comment unless you have some sort of information. But if you must know I haven't spoken with Stillen, it has been my experience in the past that aftermarket companies will tell you anything you want to hear to get the sale. Usually I try to get as much info as possible before actually contacting them. Like what I'm doing now...

you might want to contact member bldrz. their shop is making up to 12lb pulleys for the stillen. I haven't really looked into it yet, so I don't have the details, as its not in my budget right now.

Stillen is in the process of making a larger S/C that will produce 500 hp. I learned this from someone that works at stillen. They are not sure yet when it will be released, but its possible for this year.

MMMMM M90 + n2o =500+hp
but it wont be out for at least 6 months
I'll probably upgrade to it
The intercooler sprayer works,I don't know exactly how much but it must work well because it freezes the whole intercooler

Will this new S/C from Stillen be an entirely different setup or will those that already have the m62 be able to upgrade?

I think it will be an upgrade to the new SC + a re-programmed Stillen FMU and larger injector. Should be REAL nice!!

Do not quote me.
