We still do not know if it's a blown head gasket (probably) or a sunk sleeve... Let's hope for everyone's sake it's the former... Will keep everyone posted ...

Why even start a thread like this? We're all Z /G35 drivers here. We get enough crap from trolls. We shouldn't be getting it from our own too. Geez.... End rant.
wow...someone is a little upset today- don't take it personally..just making a joke here...

as far as my driving skill goes, i was born to drive a 500+ rwhp car, that's all my brain knows..so your assumption is definately not the case

and at this altitude (5500ft) a stock 350z is PATHETIC...no candy coating it...it is slow as hell and i was bummed when i got used to my car in one hour of driving it!

Sooooo, no need for us to lie to ourselves and THINK the stock Z is powered efficiently...BECAUSE IT IS NOT!!!

This car takes some serious $ loot $ to make respectable...so don't demand respect...earn it!!! (or pay out your a$$ for it) hahahahaha

Lets hope its a head gasket ....pleaseeeee

I took my blower off to have the seals fixed . I found oil in the intercooler pipe . Took the plenum off and cleaned it . The intercooler it self is next . Do you think , running hot water and some type of soap thru it will hurt ?

Won't soap and water gum it up? (I don't know.) How about a solvent that will do the job and then just evaporate away without a trace? Turn the I/C up on end, stop up the low outlet, fill it up with solvent, shake the living **** out of it, let it set for a while, let it drain. Visually inspect for oil residue. Repeat the process until the solvent runs out clean and there's no visible oil residue. Then allow to air-dry overnight. No Smoking!

Think that would work?

it is pathetic that a stock 350z gets beat by minivans
Dude show a little respect. Im still NA (although I pick the Vortech up this Sat)
but I hope to never sound the way you just sounded. A Z in stock for is a beautiful ride and has plenty of power IMO.

That being said.....
Was it really THAT BIG of a difference with the Vortech?(crosses fingers)

This comment is addressed to NISSAN not to Z owners (like we are the victims here)..get it?

you'll be MUCH happier with the forced induction!!!

yeah i got the impression this thread was for all you guys with FI to sit around in a circle jerk and make fun of NA Z's. Where did it say this thread was aimed at Nissan?

It's bad enough a lot of Z owners are Z ****'s and think everything else sucks, it's even worse if there's FI Z owners saying all NA Z's suck...

people say all sorts of stupid crap to make them feel better about themselves

Yeah but it comes off that way. Not everyone has teh luxury of FI and many can easily afford it and just don't like the way it makes teh car drive or do not wnat the extra straight line power and the extra weight that comes along with it. I can see where this thread looks offenisive.

I can't wait to join the FI club but I certainly do not think that it makes my Z superior to NA ones. Just faster straight ALso at far more risk to see the engine go...KABOOM!

I will say one thing about this FI group. We've all helped each other through a lot of problems and learned a lot from each other. We're much smaller in numbers than the NA Z owners so it seems like we're a bunch of HP snobs. I was NA for a year but never once thought the FI guys were bashing me.

ok why are people getting pissed off? Im NA and realize that because I drove a FI Z, I can agree why they say NA sucks. Look at this way if you have regular dial up internet it is slow as hell but if you upgrade to high speed its night and day diff. Once you experience cable modem or DSL you will never go back to dial up.Same diff with FI.just my 2 cents

Wow so much hatred. Take it easy. He went from a Vortech powered car back to N/A and yeah THAT sucks. Its like having a $5k stereo and then getting into your dads car with a stock Honda stereo....

Hey guys:
If anything I said here was taken offensively, that wasn't my intention...I'm not trying to come across like I'm better...or anything like that! I drove NA cars my entire life..I am so greatful that I am in the position I am in now to work as hard as I do and am able to afford this stuff...cause YES, it is very expensive...i actually made a spreadsheet last night for my insurance company...scary!!!!

So...understand all you NA Z's out there..this thread was not intended to bash anybody, hurt anybody's feelings, or **** anybody off!!! Simply stated: "NA Sucks" (In comparison to a F/I Z)---who can argue this???

come on, everyone is still friends..I love you all (except for sentry65) <--J/K ..but you don't need to be an a$$hole, really!

I was a little peeved when I was reading some of your comments but its mainly like what the other posters said about all the srt4 and WRX trolls that come around saying the Z is slow we don't need to hear it from other Z's that have FI...

Though after reading more of your posts and how your saying how horriable the stock Z i realize that you're most than likely the kind of person who is used to driving faster and more expensive cars so to you the Z is a pretty slow car. I base that assumption on the fact you claim to own a brand new Z with a built motor and twin turbos. I however spent less than $25k on my Z (used) and its a good 2 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile than my last car and is plenty fast for me.
