Default Installing a Vortech SC from an 04' to a 04.5'

I am removing my supercharger mid may (for my APS TT), and selling it to a local friend that has a 2004.5 G35. Did some reading about how the late 04's have wideband and whatnot. Will this be an even swap or will a re-tune need to be done? Mine was very conservative (done by Vortech).

Also if anyone has a Vortech on their 04.5's please chime in to any problems you had with it. Appreciated!

One more thing, if anyone in the so cal area knows of a shop that can install/tune a splitsecond device please let me know.

Vortech has the g35 s/c's listed seperately for '03 and '04 as two different kits on their website. I don't know if it is the tune or the ss is different. I have a brand new ss box that came with my vortech. I have a '04. I never used the ss box cause I went with the emanage. My car is currently being swapped from a vortech to greddy tt. Let me know if you need it. I will give your buddy a great deal on it. This would be a cheaper route than having your box retuned for an '04 and you know it is safe cause it came from vortech.

I don't think you saw what I posted correctly. It's currently on a 2004, going on a 2004.5. This is when they switched ot odbv-2 or something w/ wideband O2 sensors.

well I have a 2004.5 also. I never installed the ss box though. When I bought the kit they told me I would not have any issues. I specifically told them I had a 2004.5 and repeated my self seveal times.

So can i assume that all F/I kits are suitable for a 04.5Z or G car?

I would think at all kits would work with the 2004.5 but I would check with the manufacturer of the kit just incase.
