Default Turbo Timer ?'s

I got my car back yesterday with a built motor and the Greddy TT.

I have my turbo timer set at 20 seconds, is that enough time or to I need it to let it cool down longer ?

After the break in do I need more or less time to cool ?

I'm new to turbo timers, my bro has an S4 and leaves it cool for about 30 seconds, so I figure 30-45 sec after break in.

Thanks !

Tasso-

Im not real sure but i work in a fire department and we are suppose to allow allare trucks with turbos to run at idle for two minutes before we shut them down. Hope this close to being right. I dont meen to steal your thread but i am interested too.

the amount of time you need to spend cooling it at idle depends entirely on how you drive it. if you have been beating it hard right before stopping, then at least 2 min is necessary. if you dont get into the boost much on the trip there, 20-30 secs should be more than enough.

In my opinion, if you drive the last 2-3 miles of you trip without really boosting, then you should be fine... If you are beating on it until you pull to a stop, then I would let it sit for 90-120 secs....
