Default Dynoed my 350z

OK... in pretty happy with the numbers but shes got a lot more in it.

A/F varies from off the scale to 10.5 rich... just barely taps 11.0 in one spot i got a lot of tuning to do... and my ignition timing is very very conservative.

I am running 21 degrees of timing at 11.5 psi.

So at 11.5 PSI the car has so far made 516. I expect to make around 530rwhp at this boost with some real tuning... for now its "tuned" and conservative and im gonna leave it like this for a week or two and watch for any problems with the engine.

Nice numbers, and I am sure you will be tweaking it higher soon!

What type of Compression Ratio do you have? This is on your built engine right?

alright well its got a slightly better A/F and it did 522rwhp at 11.5 on a hot run. im done for now. I just drained the oil and its mint so signs of coolant... I am starting to get comfortable with the sleeves.

something is choking my top end, I need a upgraded plenum or intake manifold ASAP... after 6500 the power falls a little quick and I know my heads can keep up... stock intake mani = crap.

Spoken like a Happy Mitsubishi Turbo Owner.. !!

Charles, you know,
after doing your Magic on the Dual BB kit
And a Built engine

Your Opinion is Subject to Change - Granted !

But then again you are the "Engine Management Leader"

In about one month, my buddy and I will be taking on a task of solving
a problem with a Club Members 350Z - Greddy TT - Has Sleeves -
Has Forged internals - Has VCON - Dyno's 399rwhp - Torque - 410

Sharif is aware of this car's history..

We will ask the owner to invest yet more dollars in Simple things
like:
1.) Two quick Connect wire loom extenders.. One for VCON One for E-Manage

2.) The existing Fuel return system is "Ilogical" - Solution use as much of the existing Fuel system - and part by part get it up to "Spec"

3.) Submit Dyno Results on a Local "Huntington Beach" Dyno shop - Of which we have a great history database of VQ35DE engines..

4.) Retune based on a mix of 103 octane and 91 Pump gas - IE - 95 Ron

5.) Inspect each and every pressure side gasket and fitting..

Actually - the car is tuned for 400 RWHP and is a great car..
However the owner "Yearns" for something near 500rwhp

A lot of the Owners money has been mis-spent
however none of the Mod's are negitive

Please give us a helping hand in sorting out this Club Members delimia.

Hum - that actually sounds depressing.. Ha !

Cheers Amy -

Question Well to be fair

Well to be fair...

A stock Greddy TT unit, 440 cc injectors, plus a Walbro Pump
on a factory stock engine.... has done better 410 - 420

Exhaust back pressure may be part of it.. Tony's Wld350z
was a little strange when first installed...
Then GQ_626 went to test pipes in a trade..
and Tony got his RT Cat's - After coming up to Speed and burning/clearing/cpu learning
with the RT cats - what a difference....Like day and night..

The car in question has the greatest potential, and the least risk of failure
due to the quality of the Forged internals and Sleeving..

But there were some serious mistakes in the tuners logic, like returning the
car to the owner with no MAF ( They thought --- It runs fine on MAP and VCON - Screw the MAF ) so early in the year the owner was running around with Slip - VDC - And TILT lights glowing.. Like Duh ! Codes will need to be
examined. ODBII

Anyway - The tuners felt like - Why take a risk - Tune for 400 rwhp.

They were well paid for thier expertise... But a quick look at the fuel return
system - Seems like they cut corners.. Charles fuel rails will need to be added
to the above list of "Fix-it parts".

Some how I think the Members of this site have a better understanding of
the requirements for 500 rwhp than the "Tuners of this Owners Car".

Cheers Amy -

not exactly sure what you are saying here (a bit encripted)
but, i made over 400rwhp with stock cats 5 months ago...so the cats are definately not limiting the 400+ potential...the tuners are dumb asses...they need to stop protecting their ego and talk to someone on the phone who knows what they are doing instead of taking thousands dollars from this poor guy!
