You could get the same power out of an 05 GT for less than that. It just won't have SHELBY all over it. Pretty sure the 450hp number they were throwing around is at the crank. I wonder how much it will put to the wheels...

The 450hp number was just the concept...they are trying to shoot for 500hp...GT500 with 500hp.

for those that think the new mustang is just strait line, go to this link http://www.grand-am.com/News/Article.asp?ID=4220 and look that is no strait line . the prochargers on the 05 mustang at 8-9 pounds is putting 420 to the wheels and mustangs do not have tuning problems at these levels, and so many companies back the mustang that it is simple to solve problems. as for the looks it is just different styles. But don't get pissy at ford for going back to what sold mustangs the design, and the legend of the mustang. That is why you see so many mustangs is because everyone likes them, and their a cheap platform to start with. and to add the only time you see crank hp #'s are from the factory or company, the mustang magazines are rw #'s and they track test, which I see very few 350 owners here do.
