Angry My Friends F/I Car!!!

I went over to my friends house today that I have not seen in about 2 yrs. to catch up on old times. I spotted a new 05 Mustang GT sitting in his driveway. I seen that he had it kitted up with some wheels and everything. I started talking to him about it and he showed me something about the car that pissed me off. He had a dyno of his car with the paxon super on it running 600hp on a stock GT motor. I could not believe it. Then to prove it he showed me this months issue of Mustang Mag. that had the same car with almost the same add on's putting down around the same amount of hp but alittle better tq since he has not had it tuned all the way yet. I got in for a test drive and my ***** hit the windshield from the big *** boner I got from how fast it was. I know for sure he could get 10's or 9's easy. It was even a auto that he had done by level ten. I can't believe their stock engine can handle that much and a 350Z gives out around 400hp. I still love my car through and will try to make it faster, but it will cost me a whole lot more then what he payed. He is planning to build the motor next year to make sure it handles that hp and tq without too much risk.

Yeah, the mustang guys have decades of experience, solid deck blocks, and tons of cheap options to buy up their car. Crate motors, racing heads, everything is in stock and ready to go. Just give it some time with our car.

A couple of weeks ago I pulled up to a local stop light. Facing me was a red and a green 2005 mustang side by side. Behind them was a white 2005 Mustang. I just can't drive around in something every housewife has. Sorry. He can keep the cheap hp. They used to make a kit to put a chevy small block in the back seat area of a VW bug. Midengine, nothing could touch it if built right. So what. You still had a VW bug.

Well, the '05 mustang looks a lot nicer, IMO, than a VW bug.

But the 350 Z is still a hellofalot prettier than a mustang...

There are just as many housewives, if not more, driving around in 350Z's. Don't kid yourself into thinking you've got something so special. I love the Z , but it is what it is: a very affordable, moderately powered car that has decent performance and build quality. The new Mustang is a very nice design and offers great performance for the money.

I see more housewives in g35's. About 90% of them have middle aged women driving.

I just don't see why there is so much trouble with are motors. They were saying in the mag that they are having trouble tuning the new 05 motors because they are way different, thats why they make such good hp and tq. I would not get rid of my Z for one, but don't see why Nissan has not stepped it up a notch on their motor since it is in acouple of there different cars they have.

So the REAL question: Does a housewife look MILF-ier in a Z or a mustang.

(I'm bad, I know...but I couldn't resit)

That may be the case out west but every Z I have seen so far that I could identify the driver had a man behind the wheel. Here with mustangs it is about 50/50. I don't mean to belittle the Mustang, I love what they did with the styling. Great. I just don't want to have one of eight or ten in my little neighborhood. I would rather have one of five or six in the county. If money was not an object, I would drop the Z in a heartbeat and get a Ford GT or a Lotus.

Saw a MILF in a Firebird today who slowed down next to me coming to a red light. Sunglass eyeball check. Almost followed her home.

In california a Z is pretty much seen as a Housewife's Porsche...
I still love it though

I went test driving a new mustang the day I bought the Z because I really like it but once I sat down in the Z that was it...The mustang feels just too "hick" (no offense to anyone) for me, you sit too high up and it feels like a truck. If they'd get the inside more sporty I'd consider it again, because the cheap HP is not only cheap and good it's also street legal and the car does look awesome

Personally, Mustangs are ugly IMO. If I was going to go American I'd go Corvette.

Does everyone forget that the mustang is a V8. I think for our motors its pretty respectful. Think about it. Our V6 makes almost as much Hp as Ford's V8.

Exactly what i am thinking. Though the only ugly ones come out in 05. Pre-05 are alright (say 03-04 Cobras )

From what I've read and what Paxton recommends the 05' should only run 8.5-9.5 psi. on the stock motor. On Paxton's website it says that at this boost level their supercharger raises power from 300 to 420 Horsepower and 320 to 385 lbs/ft of torque. Not calling BS but just trying to understand how he could be putting down that much power on the stock motor.

Pretty sure it's bs. From all of the stang boards I've looked at, anything over 450whp on a stock 05 rustang and you're asking for trouble. The ATI procharger for the 05 GT advertises 525hp, but even stang owners tend to agree that is pushing it. Don't get me wrong, 450hp is very respectable...

The thing is, the Z can handle about that with a properly tuned TT with upgraded fuel system on stock internals. Amazing that our humble 3.5l v6 is capable of handling almost as much power as a 5l v8... the biggest plus for a mustang is the parts are marginally cheaper.

Mustangs are cheap crap. You'll hit 10's but the suckers doors will fall off when you attempt to take a corner, not to mention the sucker will probably spin out.

Here in Wisconsin I've never even seen a women driving a Z.

Mustangs are a different type of car than a 350z. If you want a car that can auto-cross and perform at the track as well as hold its own at the drag strip, then in my mind you want to drive a 350z - the Z's handing is what you're getting over a mustang.

If you want a car that you can turn into a drag strip monster - then the mustang is for you. No need for a multi-link, lightweight aluminum multi-link suspension in all corners.

I would expect that mustangs can make much more horsepower than 350zs. The 350z are much more highly tuned from the factory than the 'stang in my books. The challenge when you tune the 'stangs up to 500-600hp is keeping them on the road! I was doing the quarter mile against a monster 'stang last summer on the drag strip....he was pulling on me right up until he lost traction, swerved and hit the fence!

I know that could have happened with any car, even a 350z...but in my mind the 'stangs simply son't have enough of a base suspension design upon which w/ some mods the car can track properly and control all of it's HP potential.

The new one look pretty cool though...I find the rear end a bit large though....could lose some weight!!
