Default How loud is the APS BOV?

Haha was bored, and still saving for the APS TT kit, so thought might as well ask some APS TT owners... How loud is the BOV? Like is it noticeable when you rev the engine, or when ur driving?

It's damn quiet... First modification i'm doing during install is plugging the return line up and welding a nice flange for either a greddy RS or HKS. The way they have it on there now just looks cheap, using a damn black hose.

I don't like the mounting either, but I would keep the APS BOV b/c it is functionally better than the others.

Cloudy, watch the videos on their site, to get an idea of the two sounds. Mountain Blast video towards the last third of the vid has some good BOV noises.

I think the BOV could be a lil louder but then again, its nice having it quiet when the law is around, it doesn't attract to much attention. But you can still pull up to someone and gun it next to them and they hear it. Plus the turbines make more noise then the BOV. That's when people give you that Oh **** look... kind like this Then its more like this

The videos could be done with a better camera IMO. You can hear it good. I live in Cali and there is this Highway named 17, takes you to Santa Cruz. Well, they have a barrier in the middle dividing the lanes and you hear this thing good. I will try to get a video. Im sure all those not experienced with the APS kit will be impressed.

Im at 8.5psi.

I have there TT.The blow off valve is not to loud. It's similar to greddy type S.If you change it out you have to chek the sensor on it there is a hose that goes bck to the unichip. It also is a partialy recirculates at low boost.

I can hear it all the time, on mountain blast the last third of the video it's really loud. Maybe you need new speakers.

I am waiting for my aps tt kit to get here (end of May) I was also wondering about how loud the bov is.

Go Fast Bits makes one that is adjustable "Stealth FX". You can have it all vent to the atmosphere or back into the intake or half and half. They also have another atachments for a different blow off sound.

Does anyone have this bov or heard anything about it?
