Default Vortech Owners?

I have recently been offered to purchase a Vortech Kit from a gentleman locally. He installed the kit and he says its too noisy for him.... go figure. It is the polished version. He is asking $3,500 for everything. I was looking for reactions by current Vortech Supercharger owners. Is there something I should look out for? My car is a 5at. The price seems awfully tempting to for a kit under a month.

Find out who he purchased it from, then follow up on potential warranty issues.

the pulley that has a slit in the tracket for it to ride up and down on to make the belt tighter. i basically loosened up the bolts on each side of the bracket on pulley, then slid the pulley up the slit in the bracket then tightened it back down, able to turn the pulley by hand (alignment pulley ) but with lots of force. not easily turnable i mean, belt stays in place and noise is gone. also gave all other pulley bolts a turn to make sure they are nice and tight.

Thanks I had some work done to my car last week at two different shops and the first did what you described to quite down the supercharger and the next shop actually put in a new filter and had to take everything loose and I guess they over tightened the rear belt since it is now making the noise again. I will check it tonight and see if it should be tighter or looser.
