Gauges and the Stillen stage2 SC
I just ordered the Stillen Stage 2 SC, I was told that I should get a boost gauge. I dont know much about boost gauges. Is this something I should look into with the Stillen SC?
Personally I don't run any guages but if I did, I would get a A/F(AEM wideband). That's it.
I've been runnin strong on 7lbs + n2o for a while. I tried a custom pulley(9-10lbs), & ever since the engine hsn't been the same.
If you don't plan on pushing the limits of your VQ like I did/do,then stick with the stage 2&3.
I planed for the worst, you should too.
Don't buy any headers or high flow cats.

The boost gauge is a really easy hook up for the stillen, just put a T in the vaccum line tube coming out of the passenger side rear of the plenum. Run it to the gauge. Done.
I think the important ones for stillen are the boost gauge (to make sure the SC is working properly) and a temp gauge in the IC reservoir (to make sure the IC is working properly).
On the other hand you can just go without gauges. Many people do just fine that way as the Stillen is a little safer than some of the other FI systems that need to be closely monitored.

All I have is a wideband O2, and its not really necessary. Thinking of addind a light that will tell me if the fuse on the intercooler pump is blown or not, since I've had 2 fail now (Stillen no longer uses this pump, so don't worry if you are a new orderer, its just my bad luck)
