Yes it would definitely be easier to do that...I'm just being lazy since it's a pain to align that Seibon hood perfectly. It'll probably get taken off at some point anyway though.

i don't own a Z but my good friend, raptorbh12 does. by the looks of things, it looks like it would take less time to remove the heads with the manifolds attached then to fiddle around with getting them off when they are in the engine bay. you could then attach the new turbo manifold and turbo to the head and put it back. this may take a bit more money (replacing gaskets) but you could install some arp head studs when reinstalling the heads. just my .02

Here are some very good pictures of the kit & installation. I have been studying them closely:

If you find more, please post the link for everyone's benefit.

Thanks!

NOTE: You will have to replace the ***** above with "w w w . 3 5 0 z - t e c h . c o m", removing the spaces in between... This is ridiculous...

Guys, help me out here, we need to find more...

that dude in the ct350z.org had a horrible a/f ratio in his dyno but was still able to make 421hp, and 407trq. That just seems weird.

Why do you say it's horrible? Between 3200-6200 rpm, the AF varies between 11 and 12. A few ups and downs but that seems pretty good to me.

Ok, did a bit more work on the Z, got the first coolant line in and also the drivers side manifold/heatshield is on!

Couple words of advice

- For torquing the studs on the intake manifold for the turbo, we didn't realize that the nuts included were self locking, so one of the nuts it stuck on the stud. What I would recommend for APS is including two regular 12mm nuts in the EMA/01 baggy to use for torquing those specific studs.

- I would reccommend tightening the line that goes on the BSP plug in the block AFTER installing that drivers side manifold. This is simply to make sure the manifold has enough clearance for getting on. We had it tightened prior as the instructions said, and ended up having to loosen it up anyway. So get the manifold on, THEN test with the compressor for fitment and tighten that sucker up.

- Props to APS for the notches on the intake manfolds for a wrench! When you mount up the manifold it looks impossible for a nut to fit onto a few of the studs. But just hold the manifold out and thread one nut one thread at a time as the instructions say...it should all fit perfect, then tighten down with a regular wrench. And as I said, thank APS for putting those notches in there, worked like a charm!

And now a couple pics for your enjoyment! The first pic is the manifold and heatshield. The second pic is the same but from underneath the car. The install should be complete sometime between Sunday and Tuesday, I can't wait !

Your heat shields don't look anything like mine; how are you gonna tighten those turbo bolts?

What do yours look like? This is what is supposed to come with it:

Yeah I'll have to take the heat sheild off to tighten those bolts on the turbo down...doesn't take much effort to do that, but good eye

My APS heat shields look just like that. They're still on a bench in my garage however, waiting installation.

Mine are the same, i just shaped them closer to the manifold; wrapped it around, and was able to keep them on while bolting up the turbos.
