Default Question about FMU Calibration Kit from Vortech

I have a question about the calibration kit that i ordered from vortech, i ordered the 10:1 kit i believe, which is what i was told to order, several people have had the fuel leak issue and seems to be caused from the FMU washer being coroded. can anyone tell me if this will pump in more or less fuel and will i have to get my car retuned by simply changing this out. i think the vortech comes with the 8:1 for our cars, not sure though. any help on this issue would be helpful. thanks

The 10 to 1 kit will not pump more or less fuel . It will provide more pressure . I sold mine so I cant help with the install of the kit . Most fuel leaks have been with the lines running to the FMU and to the pump . I dont know who told you to order the 10 to1 kit . But I have a hard time believing the stock FMU with 8 to1 cant supply enough fuel for the 3.12 , or the 2.97 pulley . I had plenty of room left for fuel adjustment with the 3.12 on . Several guys have PMed me asking what I thought about thier shop telling them they needed this or that to get enough fuel to get the 3.12 to a safe A/F mixture and letting them go out the door with an A/F of over 12 to 1 at redline . Unless Vortech has changed something with the SS BOX . [ less head room ] IMPO...some of these shops are just trying to sell more parts and shop time
As far as tuning goes...yes will have to retuune it , because of the higher pressure in the fuel rail . It will not be off that far , but enough to be very careful boosting untill you do. Actually , you will be more than likely have a richer A/F...but I would still be careful
