Default Question for Z tuners

After the ECU has been reflashed to compensate for mods including FI, will the ECU still be able to use its adaptive capabilities at part throttle? When I say adaptive capabilities I mean can it still adjust fuel and timing for ambient temperature and other driving conditions. How about in the case of the APS TT and ST where the Unichip is used for engine management?

The answer to your first question has to be yes. The Turbonetics kit is relying entirely on an ECU reflash for EM. If the reflash sacrificed the ability to properly control and modify engine paramaters at anything other than WOT, I'd be VERY concerned. It is still using input from the MAF (which senses air flow and temperature), and timing control is still functional.

just keep in mind that if your ECU was reflashed for a NA setup, it might be unsafe to use if you add boost to your car down the road, because they probably advanced the timing and leaned it out to make more power, and the boost kits are all expecting your ECU to be stock.
