I posted this in the general forum but hardly anyone ever responds there....so here it is again:
Ok, I'm confused, I read that the 05 track and anniversary editions have the raised limiter to 7100rpm but after driving in my new enthusiast (build date Jan 2005) I pushed it up and the limiter does not kick in till 7100 rpm as well....which is great but very unexpected.
Can someone shed some light on this?

did you free rev it? Or slighly rev in gear....until you reached the limit?
NO idea..but maybe all of the 05's have the rev limit increase?
Was your ECU reflashed without your knowledge?

The car was brand new when I bought it from the dealer (30 miles on it)
is it different depending on how hard you hit the throttle???
I was going to get my ecu reflashed (L-Spec) today but because of this I canceled. I'm going to the track tomorrow and will find out for sure.
(too many cops in my neighbourhood to do a full run on the streets)

I don't think the gauge is off because I hooked up my G-Tech which was calibrated on my old 04 Track and it is right on with the new car.
Something else is going on here
I have not seeing anything in the manual or at a nissan site that states where the limiter kicks in. They could have easily decided to up it on newer 05 models. Remember the early 04's didn't have widebands either...

I tried last night again under more load and the limiter kicks in about 6800 - 6900 rpm...so I think my tach is probably off a bit.
I rescheduled my apointment with technosquare to get the lspec reflash done next week.
thanks for the input guys!!!
