I am positive that this querry has been posted here on may, many ocasions. So here goes: How many of you peoples are running the unmodified APS TT kits of fully stock motors. How long have you been doing so, how aggresively do you beat on the cars and how long has it lasted so far?
My other question is, aside from raising the boost, how do you make more power and make you car faster with this kit (besides the obvious, cams, pulleys, intake manifolds).
The reason why I am asking is that it is obvious that APS is the best turbo upgrade if you are going to just bolt it on and enjoy it (not as easy to modify, adjust, etc as opposed to its PE counterpart). I really need to chose between those 2 kits. I need my kit to last for at least 12 month on stock internals(and I do tend to drive a bit on the aggresive side), so I can save up for an engine upgrade (a full longblock, possible with a standalone). I am not looking to make more then 500 whp in the end, but I do want a flexible system that would allow me to change boost settings with minimal effort (I most definately do not want to have so much power if I am caught in a rain somewhere). In term of quality it is obvious that you cannot go worng with either one, the question is which is mose suited to MY requirements.
I thank anyone who took time to read all this, post an input and did not dismiss it as "oh, great not another one of these..."
