thanks I'll take that all under advisement...actually I will make up my mind on which kit today and if I go with the TNetics then I wont install the headers which is kind of wild since I only bought the clutch/flywheel to do at the same time as the headers to save on install costs!

Well the clutch and install are certainly good mods to have. Maybe you could have them done when you do the T netics kit...

Did you listen to all the videos? I think each BOV has its own sound... For instance I've always thought the Greddy Type S souded like a queef. And the HKS SSQV sounds like a loud @ss whistle. Hey at least you'll be unique right...

yes I listened to all of them but I really only noticed the BOV on that one video.

The idea of the clutch/flywheel install with the headers was simply that they overlap alot of the install. Dropping the tranny makes it much easier to install those headers so while its out for the clutch was a good time to get the headers in, HF cats and a Short Shifter. If I go Tnetics there is no need for the HF cats or the headers and I dont think you have go near the tranny for install ? Ill prolly have the clutch/flywheel done next weekend as planned.

I'd have to look at the video again. My Raptor BoV doesn't sound like Curley at all. Mine sounds like QWOOOSHH. It's really powerful sounding with no whistle at all.

I'm perfectly happy with the Raptor BoV. I, too, don't really like how the greddy BoV's sound. If I were to pick another it might be the HKS, but I'm really happy with the Raptor.

No prob at all! Like MIA said, the fuel return isn't something you will need while operating at 8-9.5psi boost. The fuel return system doesn't actually provide hp gains, it's just another safety mechanism for high boost applications. If you plan on cranking the boost past 9.5psi, I would definitely do it. But, at that point you will be building the block and running your own engine management, anyway. Besides, if you really want a fuel return system, you can always get a COMPLETE one, like AAM or CJM.

I'm personally running Phunk's CAS wire in my car. I don't think it's necessary, but I just like having it for peace of mind.

speaking of psi, what is the psi level for stock engine? with Turbonetics install, i assume that it max out at 8 or 8.5psi? Now if i floor the gas pedal (to the red line), will the psi increase pass 8psi and i'll be in trouble for the engine? or it doesn't matter?

No the wastegate will regulate the boost to 8 PSI no matter how fast the engine is spinning...

Now, if i want to add NOS later, will it be a problem for Turbonetics ST kit? Have anyone do this combination yet?

I would turn the boost up a pound or two before you add NOS. Maybe a year ago it was thought that 380whp or so was the limit for stock internals. A bunch of guys are running in the 450whp with no problems as off yet. You can have a better idea of how safe that is in couple months as more people push those levels on stock internals. For now just keep it at stock boost.

Great post, I feel like a student. Any troubles with the 04.5 year cars as far as the turbonetics reflash goes? I'm itching..just itching to get this turbo.

Besides uninstalling come smog time (when would that be? car is 04.5), what alternatives are there?

That is the only thing making me lean toward a vortech system. Does anyone have any ideas how I could smog my car?

THanks for your help guys...

www.forgedinternals.com has 1 kit in stock. $4720 shipped. If you order by tomorrow you could probably have it the kit installed by next weekend and then the let the boosting begin!

Also--would it be best to get an exhuast with a y pipe? I sold my Injen exhaust so before I buy a new one, which y pipe/exhuast combo would you guys recommend as far as hp and compliance with fit.

Thanks, I've learned a lot from this thread.

APS is coming out with a 3 inch exhaust for the APS ST kit. I don't know if it will work with Tnetics, but I am sure you can get it to work. 3 inch would be ideal though. It should be out by August.
