Default Procharger reliability???

Has ATI resolved earlier issues w/ the Procharger? Had seen a lot of blown engines when it initially came out in '03. How does one avoid that & still maintain stock internals?
THANKS!!!

Is this better than having the ECU reflashed? Also, how loud is the Procharger?

The safeguard retards timing based on boost among other things. The most important thing that it does is protect against detonation by retarding on a per cylinder basis if it detects knock. The ecu reflash will give you the proper timing map(retarded), but it has no way of protecting the engine in case of detonation. Do a search and you will see all the info on the Safeguard. I have the ECU reflashed and the safeguard. And to answer your question on if the Procharger is loud, yes. I love it!!!

I also installed the J&S Safegaurd after 1 round of detonation. Not a problem since and I have been putting the car through the ringer. Procharger is extremely loud at first but after a 2K miles, its barely noticeable anymore. I really like my Procharger.

I am using the emanage for fuel only, right now. I am working on it with John from J&S. He is coming by today. I will keep everyone posted.

Mine is nowhere near that loud! It did quiet down after a month or so.

Those were with the widows down and WOT. The video seems to make it louder than it really is.
