Default variable boost question

if i got lets say the aps tt kit or any kit that can spin the wheels in 1-3 gear, with a stock motor, would it be possible to lower the boost for gear 1 then up it a little for gear 2, so this way the wheels wont spin as much. so like in 5th gear it is higher so it feels like there is always more power?

is this possible or would you have to go with another managment system besides the one they send you with the kit and an extra boost controler?

thanks

You might be able to use a boost scrambler like the ones Turbo XS makes. They bleed off boost in the first couple of gears for increased traction....if I remember correctly.

There are boost controllers available that limit boost depending upon wheel speed. I think the profec-b is boost vs wheel speed capable.

If you have to do that you need the Apexi AVC-R boost controller,is the only one that have the option to make differents boost levels for any gear.

Many boost controllers can adjust solenoid duty cycle by RPM, very few are gear depenedant. I still havent found one. I believe the HKS is RPM dependent....as is the e-01 and Spec B
