Before installation. This is usually the first thing you do when you get the kit as it can be done with no side effects to the car whenever you want. REplacing the line in advance of the kit install makes no difference. It wont affect the install or anything else. You just simply have a heat wrapped AC line...

What I would do once I got the kit is first inventory the box and make sure EVERYTHING is there. Next take your car with the new AC line to your local dealer and have them empty the system, replace the line, and then charge and purge it. The week of your install. I would bring the car to the shop on Tuesday and hace them ship the ECU first thing in the morning. You will have it back by Thursday afternoon. Tuesday begin install after the ECU is shipped. You should be done with the install sometime on Wednesday. Whatever is left of Wednesday and Thursday before the ECU gets there have them install all your gauges. Have them button everything up and when the ECU arrives they just plug it in and fire the car. Spend the rest of Thursday and a little bit of Friday double checking the fitment and placement of everything, checking for leaks, etc. Friday morning hit the dyno. Make sure your AFR is dead on (it should be right away if not on the rich side). Do a few pulls to verify power output throught the range. Go get yourself a fresh tank of gas and start hunting for Corvettes.

wow, I have a random question. Since this is one single larger turbo, will it sound like a Gran National or like a single turbo supra when spooling?

I think this will be my choice if two things happen, I get around to selling my S2K and save the money to boost my new toy.

Yes it is a ceramic ball bearing turbo which is a patented design by Turbonetics. As for maintenance just regular oil changes every 3k miles. That would be the same with any turbocharged car. I personally change mine at 2500 with Mobil 1 10W-30 Full Syn. Heres some info on the ceramic ball bearing system from Turbonetics' webpage...

Default Why isn't Turbonetics here as a sponsor?

Not to start anything here, but I don't see Turbonetics here as a sponsor... but it sure does look (IMO) that they have a sales person here pimping there stuff around the FI forums (not just this thread, but multiple ones).

I'm of the impression that is just plain wrong... I highly suspect that someone may be getting something out of this, while trying to give the impression that it's just "consumer feedback".

Policy or not... IMO this should be stopped. I don't care which company it's about but this is 1000% SPAM in my opinion.

we're just asking detailed questions and the vendor/owner of one is supplying them - it just so happens that MIA knows a **** load about the Turbonetics ST.

I bet if the topic was Greddy TT, there would be someone with a lot of experience about it going on for 3 pages with detailed answers.

If you guys were to ask me about somthing I had that I defianetly liked, I'd be pushing it like there's no tomorrow too!

First of all no I dont "get" anything by answering questions. I don't work for Turbonetics nor do I profit in any way from their sales. I am a happy satisfied customer that is answering questions from other board members. Since you are obviously narrow sighted you must not see the threads in which I answered questions that had nothing to do with Turbonetics. Specifically ones about OTHER kits and trying to help out other members who had questions or problems with them. Second Turbonetics is signed as a sponsor.

No problem, just my observation... If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong.

even if Turbonetics wasn't a sponsor... don't see why we can't share info about them just because they're not paying for the site...

so if there was a company that fully sponsored the site yet had absolutly horrible products, all the opinions about it should be 5star rated?

big ups to MIAPLAYA for all the info! people like you help amatures like my self beyond your intentions! thank you
