Default Vortech T-trim results

I got the car on the dyno for the first time since the rebuild , and the blower up grade . I got 400 whp and 319trq [ Mustang dyno ] . Not as much as I expected . Boost leveled off at 6,300rpm at 13.5 psi . I had the belt as tight as you would want to take it and it still slipped .On one run after tightening up the belt , I got 13.9psi , But after that one time it leveled off . We think if the belt wasnt slipping the boost would be around 14.5 to 15psi at redline .
All I can think is that this AT5 in this car is killing the whp and trq. . I would like to put this thing on a Dynojet just to be able to compare. With what others are getting . If the 10 to 12 % hold true . It would be at 440whp to 450whp . I know also , if the belt didnt slip up top , I would be 20 to 30 whp more .

nice boog! refresh my memory? What rwh# did you see before the T-trim, and was that on a Mustang dyno also?

I got the 2.87 pulley I could put on it . But the belt slips now at 13.5 psi at 6,300rpm . If I put on the 2.87..it would slip at 13.5psi and maybe 5,800rpm

Belt Slipping Problems.
See my post on belt fix/correction problems.
Booger-why don't you fix the belt?
it really is the way to go.

maybe you need to switch to and procharger or turbo setup..... you really wont have to worry about the belt slipping then

No matter which way you route the belt , or how tight you get it . Its going to start slipping when you reach a certain boost level . The belt cant grab enough to over come the preasure built up in the blower and pipe .

if you add the 2.87 belt, even though the belt will still start slipping at 13.5 psi still, wouldn't you build boost faster?

I have thought of that too . We will see . I know I'll put this 400whp car up against any other claiming to have 400whp on a 3.33 ,3.12 , and 2.87 pulley with 8,9,10 , or 11psi

*sorry this is gonna be pretty off topic but i was wondering... *
another question about being able to build up boost quicker (and i'm sorry if this is stupid but i'm not that knowledgable about fi). say you have a s/c on a stock block and don't want to exceed say 9 psi. could you put on a pulley for higher psi and add a wastegate set to bleed off boost higher than 9, so you build boost faster but don't exceed a safe level of boost?

is there is a reason that adding the wastegate is not more popular? i'm sorry to keep going more offtopic in your thread btw! it's just that i've been wondering about that for a while, and never saw anything about gspot35 doing that.

After talking to a couple of guys that tune on load base dyno's . It seems that every one adds 12 to 13 % [ some even more ] to thier numbers to read more like a dynojet dyno . Well after adding the 13% to mine . Im at 452whp and 355trq . If i had a 6MT we could add 20 to 30 more . I mentioned this on another thread today . That Dynojet dyno's are just big number producers...nothing more . They are not real world , real street HP. BUT , every one goes by Dynojet numbers to build up the EGO and try to be the top dog . Load base dyno's should be the norm , because what you make on a load base is what you'll have on the street . When some one hears that one certain dyno is putting out big numbers . Every one runs to get a dyno appointment with that shop . So the next shop adjusts thier dyno so it to reads higher and they get more buisness . Seem like it becomes a never ending cycle to boost EGO's and pocket books
