Default Back to the drawing board

Well I am getting a P0300(random/mutiple misfire) again. After I installed the T-netics kit I put in irridium 1 step colder and received the code so I was told to go back to the stockers. So I did that had the code cleared and I was good to go.......so I thought. Now it has come back. It was good to go for about 3 weeks. I have had the code cleared twice and it just keeps coming back. So I am going to gap the irridium 1 steps to .35 put them back in, have the code cleared and see what happens. It was about 92 degrees yesterday. So maybe that had something to do with it, but then again I know of other guys running around in the same type of climate not having a single problem. I'll keep you guys posted, any and all suggestions are welcomed. The SES light came on once while driving(hit the rev limiter on accident) and had it cleared. It came on again while I was parked just sitting at idle.

Wow man, that's not good news. My car should be coming out of the shop tomorrow, with one-step colder plugs. I'll go back to stockers if I get an SES, but I'll need to keep up with your progress. Please keep us posted on your findings.

Do you feel your car misfire? It could be a bad coil or CPS... I had the code for about 30,000 miles when we were prototyping some ecu mods but the car wasn't misfiring.. I doubt it has to do with the plugs...

I did notice after the install that sometimes it takes a few seconds for the engine to crank over. Like maybe 5 seconds. Before the install I could almost blip the key and the motor would just crank right up. Could this have something to do with it? What would cause that any way?

That's strange. Right now I'm still running the NGK 1 step colder plugs and not having any issues.

I had a SES light maybe a week after the kit was installed. It came on one morning when I started the car. I drove over to the shop to see about pulling the code and the light was gone after I turned off and started the car again. I'm not even sure if it was a misfire, but I've never seen it again.

The only other issue I've noticed is that my SLIP light will come on when we run it on the dyno. It's strange cause VDC is off. All I have to do is take it out and run it for a minute and it goes away, otherwise I don't see it unless I dyno.

I doubt it as the same program has been run on lots of 04s. I'm trying to get a hold of Turbonetics now. I know Brad is out of the country this week though. I'll try to get a hold of Jhame. In the mean time if you would could you call Reggie and let him know. He works there so he may see Jhame before I get him on the phone.

At idle the car will be running fine and then it will sort of stumble a bit and then go right back to normal. When this happens the r.p.m.'s dont drop or anything. I would think if it were a bad coil it would tell me a specific cylinder I was missing on. Wouldnt it?

Yes it would. P0300 is the base misfire code. If it gave you a P0302 that would mean misfire on cylinder 2. Your car is not actually misfiring. The stumble you feel unfortunately is a side effect of bigger injectors trying to be scaled. I just sent you a PM on this....

The first time it popped on was when I was driving. I didn't feel a misfire. The car runs really strong, I would think I would feel or hear something if it was really happening. I just changed my plugs here at work, to the irridium 1 step colder gapped to .035. But I am working overtime and wont be able to go home til Sat. So Sat. I will get it cleared and see what happens after that.

When I get mine . It doesnt pop up right away . If the car starts hard , it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the CEL to go on .

I am convinced that Technosquare really hasn't gotten there flashes under control . I realize that Nissan keeps changing program and ECU but come on. If they can't get the ecu to scale for the injectors properly then why even waste the money on the flash. Just my 2 don't like Technosquare anyway

Well if that is the only draw back is a code then I would say its still a better option then a piggyback. At least the AFR with this flash has been DEAD on where as other people have had the ECU go nuts and advance the hell out of the timing. I have another theory as to why its popping this code. Testing will begin shortly...12nv give me a call when you get a chance. PM me if you need my cell number again..
