That plenum is pretty tall. I don't think it is possible. Why would you want to keep it??

IMO the engine bay looks ugly w/o it.

Maybe the APS polished or powdercoated to your liking would change your mind. The plastic cover is a good way of holding heat into the plenum and intake as well. Not good with boosted applications IMO. Function over form??

Yeah, that plenum will not allow room for the cover unless you modify it (similar to Crawford). I'm planning on powdercoating mine so I think it'll look just fine especially if you put other dress mods on. You can polish the plenum too which will definitely have that "bling" factor but I think it'll be more prone to heat vs. powdercoating which is why I'm personally choosing powdercoating. This is personal taste though so go with what your happy with.

Any idea what polishing or powder coating usually runs on a part like this? I think polished would look nice.

Read the last line of the original post. You have to replace the "x's" with "airpowersystems".

I did a test once in school where you had to do a bunch of crap like quack like a duck, wave your arms in the air......about 25 different things. Last question was ...do not do any of the above....just sit and wait until the end of the test. It was a great lesson for me to learn to read all instructions before I started anything.
