I will most likely host a GB on the product, but I would like everyone's opinion on something. I can actually get a bunch of these units much earlier than I thought...like next week. But I am reluctant to sell it to you guys without testing it out first.
Theoretically, it works just like the normal eManage, but about 5 times better in just about every way. I cant think of any reason that an eManage blue would work on the 350Z, and this Ultimate version wouldnt. I'd like to hear people's opinions on a GB on this, assuming we can get at least 5 people interested.
Retail on the unit is $680 and the ulitimate harness is $120. GB price will be waaaay lower than that....likely $560-0$580 shipped for the emanage, and about $100 for the harness, and of course, it will include technical support as always.
If you guys can wait a few weeks, I dont mine installing one and running some dyno tests on the units....road test..etc.
On a side note, the more I research this, the better I like it. Now, by tapping the injectors as we have in the past, you can actually enrich, AND REDUCE fuel via IPW changes. With the current eManage, you can only add fuel via IPW increases. I cant tell you how many times we have these rich dips in tuning, and its very challenging to get ride of them. With this system, its going to be a snap! This allows very precise mapping of fuel and timing, without messing with the MAF correction.

This seems very promising, I just hope that its as good or even better than it sounds!
Since this would allow us to tune our cars more precisely and it would take better care of all the timing issues, would it then allow us to run our cars at a higher boost on stock internals or are the internals just too weak for so much power no matter how great the tune is?

I'd like to see a GB delayed until we have some feedback on the unit. No place around here will have ANY experience with it yet. Would love to see you install it first and do a GB at the end of the summer or in the fall after we know how good it works. Just my .02

Any way we can work on pricing? I know of a place that sells it for $535 regular pricing and the harness is $85 (though it does not list the 350Z harness on GReddy's website).
(BTW, i'll be getting this if I get the car I told you about in PM)

TCS - VDC - Cruise - Requires MAF

Not sure about Charles' Z
But ZRayGo's Z - Were Running MAP with V-Con and the "TunerS Plural" pulled out the MAF.
Reason's:
The Car run's with no MAF.
The MAF seemed redundant to the "TunerS"
In practice the VDC and Cruise requires the Feedback loop information of the MAF to calculate the Vector list for VDC.
The CAN system spends extra time looking for lost Sensors.
Retries are re-transmitted on the Car Area Network.
Similar to a Flaky network card - that causes CRC errors while it retries.
If a complete ECU discovery cycle is incomplete, The ECU relies on the Previous vector Map's information.. And that's O.K. since:
The Fall Back information is adequate. After all the V-CON is in command.
And the full information is from a "Learning" cycle.
But Clear the ECU totally, by Battery off ( For a day )
Or exercising the ECU "Clear" method is used.
Then the ECU is in relearn.
First with the cold engine all is fine (except Idle)
When the Oil Temp reaches 160F - the loop that checks the O2 sensors
begins. Up until that time the ECU has "no long term O2" in the table.
The example is clearly demonstratable by removing the O2 sensors wires, when the Oil Temp is at 160 or 180 the Engine will surge up, surge Down as Fuel is adjusted. ( No feed back from O2's )
That's on a Stock ECU.. But since V-Con is in control of fuel, one never sees that occuring.
The Operation of the CAN is well documented. ( and hours of fun to read )
CJ & 350NOW can add the detail's on the Christmas Tree light's on the DASH.
Cheers Amy -

Well I was planning on getting my car tuned within the next month, but I guess I should wait for this before I spend the money on tuning and increasing the boost, so had me to the list...

I am in. I was going to go with the F-CON, but don't know if I will be able to afford it. How much does it run anyways? Also, do you think it will be almost as good as the F-CON?

I never said cruise and VDC dont work... I just said they dont work properly IMHO... I definatly noticed a major difference in the way they respond... however I spent much time with the FCON technition at HKS USA talking about it, and I think we figured out what the problem was, just never really cared to try it (i only had so much curiousity to it because I always want to know how everything works)... what is VDC gonna do for me other than make me loose a race when I forget to turn it off?!?!
Either wya, this E-Manage ultimate is gonna be a huge hit or miss... but everyone will buy one regardless so carry on!!

I'd like to do this....keep the GB interest alive, and in the meantime, I will get a unit installed on our car for testing purposes. Those that are serious can place their orders on the website, but as always, nothing will be charged until we confirm the product works as promised, and product is ready to ship out. I just need orders in hand, as a commitment from everyone.
I'll add this to the website shortly....stay tuned.
