Here are some pictures i took of the vortech bypass valve fitler I just received from sharif at forged internals. Mainly wanted to say thanks to him, also thought i would post pictures of the filter itself. I haven't driven the car with the filter on yet, however i did crank it up and let it run, still hear a little whistle noise but like a 1/10th of what it was at idle. you will see in picture number 6 that the filter will not fit on the bypass valve the way it was positioned. turned it over and filter was placed on. you can see pictures of the filter on the bypass valve in pictures 7-9. does anyone know if it matters which way the bypass valve is positioned ? shouldn't matter i would think because the filter will only go this way. enjoy the pics.
I was able to get the filter on in the original spot . [ g35 ] intercooler pipe must be a little diff. Another trick you might want to try is to stuff the filter with some foam . The stuff they use as shop vac filters works good . It will quit it down even more . I ended up taking mine off and turning my BOV around like you have yours now . The sound is much less in the cabin now . I may put the filter back on to .

To say its annoying is sugar coating it!!! This issue goes way back right boog? I tried the filter, i tried the foam, now i have the greddy type s bov. My maxflow is now a paperweight.

My installer actually repositioned the location of the BOV to allow it route back into the intake. Made things very quiet, and I think this will more emissions-test friendly.
BTW, I have an unused BOX "muffler" filter if you need one. will sell it for 1/2 market rate plus shipping.

The Vortech Bypass Filter is basically a Motorcycle Air Filter.
I have K&N Part No. 62-1480. Perhaps you can source one locally....

I couldn't tell you. I wanted a stealth install so my installer never used it, they repositioned the BOV outlet to route this back into the intake.
Paul at Avalon Racing sent this along with my kit. He's a great etailer, so I assume the part does the job.
P.S. Mine is for sale, and posted. You have PM...

I see in the pic's...you have that same bubble wrap marks on your intercooler pipe . They should find a way to ship differently . That bubble wrap marks every thing up and is hard as hell to get it off . Ended up having to paint my blower bracket because of it
