One more question: did you coat the turbines as well?

is that even possible? aren't they weighted and balanced just right for their intended application...i'm guessing any sort of coating to the turbine may throw off the calibration...keeping in mind these things spin soooo insanely fast, a microgram of weight may change their performance/longevity...etc

maybe i'm just ranting about something i know nothing about...oh well

2-3 days. They do it locally here.

Turbines? Not the turbines themselves, but all of what you see here, including the turbo housing:

$225cdn for everything, which equates to about $175usd or so...

I think ccartwright meant turbine housing...or the exhaust housing of the turbo. Yes, most people coat that, the downpipe, and the manifolds.

Yes , I have an APS TT setup and had the 2 manis, impeller housings and DPs coated in 2700degree black ceramic coating (both inside and out). The shop I used in NorCal even cleaned up the rough casting inside the Garret exhaust housings NC. If you run your finger inside the port you'll see that the base housing has a few rough edges.
