need help with egt and turbo kit?????
hey how you doin i was wondering where the best place would be for a egt probe on a 350z with the turbonectics single turbo kit on the car all ready...should i tap a header 4inches down from the block on one of the runners OR dhould i tap the downpipe after the turbo? and how far away from the turbo should i go...thanks
Before the turbos, as close to the head as possible. Here is mine on the APS TT:

I have mine tapped on the feed pipe to the turbo after the merge. Look under the car in front of the drivers side front wheel. There is a pipe that bends up and goes into the bottom of the turbo. Granted this is not the MOST accuarate method but it does give you a good reference point.
At WOT, I usually get up to about 1550F max. I get 11.5-11.9 O2 values from the wideband sensor located right after the LHS turbo. Also, the weather has been really warm around here lately (105+).
It runs really strong, but at those values, I will wait until a retune and water injection before I put the hi-flow cats that I bought.
