Default WOW...Everyone knows about APS!!!

I was so surprised today when I was chillen' with some friends...(most with either G35's or 350Z's)....and they all knew of how the APS Twin and Single turbo kits are known for being reliable and all compared to most turbo kits out there for the 350Z's. I didn't think they were that popular, but I guess I was wrong. It just amazed me how far the APS name has traveled. Just thought I'd share some news...

I was at a local car show last week and most people did not know about APS (I have their TT kit on my G35). They were impressed however.

I hope they sell a whole bunch of units so they can lower their prices. Thats the only thing stopping me right now.

So far, I havent met anyone that was unfamiliar with APS. They built a solid reputation, and make great product...so word travels fast.

The main question I get is "they make kits for 350Z's?" They are so known among the WRX's and Evo's people are usually suprised they make a kit for the 350Z.

I get comments from other car owners asking if its the Greddy kit. When I tell them its the APS, some look confused, others are like "SICK". There is a lot more respect for the Z now, I guarantee that!

Agreed... people come to me and ask, is that the greddy kit? I say no, it is APS. Then they proceed to bash the greddy kit (due to common ignorance) and ask about APS.

Too bad the greddy kit wasn't labeled originally as a tuner kit instead, although that would have probably killed sales.. but I won't beat that dead horse.

You are so right Sharif...word travels fast when there is a good product on the market. I work for a (well known) wireless communication company and I the big boys at corporate with their Porsches and Vettes always seem to ask me about "turbo" version 350Z's they run across every once in a while on the highways and how they hang with them....lol! I CANT WAIT TO BOOST!!

A lot of people seem happy with the APS kits, and they've certainly executed well on their marketing plan and built a reputation, but then they also went out and hired Dave Inall. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me and I'm not sure what they were thinking. Maybe they just didn't do their due diligence.

Huh, that was news to me (re: Dave Inall). After reading the link, it sounded as if the kits were a good product, but the problem was that not all of them were delivered. If that's the case, that really sucks. It's always tough to judge where the problem really existed (I'm in sales, so I know it can come from several fronts).

On a lighter note, lucky for us & APS, he's not the CEO or CFO . . .he's the "engineering / marketing manager." As long as they build a quality product and deliver the thing, I could care less who's done what or when. There's always another side to every story . . . and, then again, some people do stupid ****

I think the APS kit is the best on the market for sure. I love the spool and power it delivers. I liked the product so much that I took my FP green off my STI and put an APS SR55 on it. APS products are worth the extra money!!!!!!!!

Why, did some white trash carnie from the middle start dancing to Van Halen on a rail at a 45° angle while your sinus exploded?

I have been looking into this because I plan on dumping my HKs and going TT. I noticed that GReddy never seems to try and improve anything might be wrong but just seems that way. Now APS seems like they are allways working there R&D
