How many miles on your Z/G before you went FI?
I, like many on here, have read these FI forums and drooled over many of your setups. My question is simple; How many miles did you have on your Z/G before you decided to go FI? Right away? A bit closer to the end of the warranty? Please also tell us what FI system you decided to go with and how many miles since your install. Just curious to hear the different responses. TIA

Considering the lack of true tuners (not everyone has access to Charles or Sharif 
), I sometimes wonder why people go Greddy IF they wanted something around the lines of PnP. If they wanted to build a dyno queen, the Greddy is very capable . . . it just needs a little love and a few more parts

this comment seems to surface weekly...i will reiterate what many have said before (and the truth of the matter)
the greddy tt kit is NOt complete out of the box...APS, and some others are more complete, making them safer when used "out of the box"
the greddy tt kit CAN be just as safe..you must address a few things first:
1-ignition harness--you must pull timing to make any forced induction safe --(the unichip on the APs kit does this-definately adds to its reliability)
2-must tune the e-manage fuel map--can not rely on the out of the box e-manage map--it sucks and is dangerous
3-one SHOULD address the fuel system is going over, say 7psi or so (8.5psi and above is closer to where the stock fuel system is maxed out)...get a return system with a 1:1 FPR
4-A/F gauge and EGT..monitor them daily to ensure ECU hasn't mutated the tune into a leaner condition...if you are running any F/I without at least these two gauges,,you are just guessing and praying...you need to be able to monitor these two imputs!!!
if these 4 things were followed on EVERY greddy tt kit that was installed...you wouldn't hear all of these horror stories (mine included, believe me, i learned the hard way)
so...greddy should not advertise their kit as "complete" or ready to go "out of the box"..they should add some disclaimers about the 4 abovementioned items...
but, just because they don't forewarn anybody about their kit, doesn't make their kit, when used properly (with the 4 crucial items above) any more dangerous than the rest!!!
and..to add...companies like www.forgedinternals.com (sharif) are EXPERTS regarding the greddy tt kit and ALWAYS give the best recommendations to any greddy customers- to insure the safety of their kit
those whp blew a motor on the greddy kit either: had the kit when it firts came out and didn't know to do all of these 4 precautionary dealies (me)...
ran too much power- the internals couldnt physcially handle the stress (few)...or didn't heed any of the abovementioned advice and figured they would be ok (most)
