Default Defi-BF and BOOST

Hello!

I finally have a boost gauge installed on my car (Defi-BF), the highest boost that I have seen so far is 0.8 Kpa. What 0.8Kpa will be if is converted to PSI?

Thanks
Cesar

Result of your conversion:

.8 kilopascal (kPa) is equal to 0.12 psi

I think they are in BAR not Kpa .8 bar = 11.6 PSI

8 PSI = .55 BAR

Yes, he either meant bar (though that's high for APS on stock motor) or he doesn't have the turbo installed yet, just the gauge. I think you can get a tiny bit of psi normally aspirated.

This is what I seen so far, the gauge has a marking at the botton (X100Kpa). I will asume that I have to multiply 0.8 x 100Kpa=80 Kpa

The car is equiped with the APS TT, APS test pipes and APS exhaust.

Thank you!!!!!!
Cesar

The easiest way. 1 bar = 14.5PSI so just figure it from there...like .5 bar = 7.25 PSI, etc

80 kilopascal (kPa) is equal to 11.60 pound-force per square inch (psi) (lbf/in2)

That's kinda high

I am running on the stock APS TT map 91 oct, my car has APS TT, APS TEST PIPES and APS exhaust I always pump 93 OCT (Shell or Mobil). I will dyno the car tomorrow. I really like the APS test pipes, but to be safe I will reinstall my oem CATS on the car until I have the car tune. My biggest problem is that I do not think it is a tuner in Florida for the 350z with APS.

Cesar

PS.

Thanks to every one that has reply!!!!!!!

Cesar,

When you turn the ignition on without starting the motor, what does the boost gauge read? It should read zero. I've seen some BF guages that weren't calibrating themselves right. I can't imagine the 91 octane map can create so much boost 11.6psi even with test pipes.

Hello Tuan!

First let me THANK YOU for taking the time out of your bussy schedule to HELP US today (I was on the shop with Tom Porter (Nex tLevel Performance)) this is what my BF reads with out turning the motor. It is a (0)

Althought the car is running super RICH , it is making 409.7 whp on a DynoJet. I will scan the chart and post it tomorrow. This is scary since I am running on stock internal and no tunning. What do you think I should do? Should I go ahead and re-install my cats back againg on the car until I can tune the car?

Doesn't your screen cover up your gauges there?

Hi Cesar,
I spoke to roger yesterday. I herd the car was running good.My last dyno was 397hp.What was your torque? The test pipes made a big difference.I picked up .5-1lb of boost with them.It made me leaner from 3k-4.4k then it went off the scale. The car runs great no pinging at all.So how do you like your new ride now? By the time the weather gets cooler roger will have the dyno and tune the car.I'll probably turn the boost down a little to be safe.Tuan can this be done now without sending you back the unichip? They have the equipment for the unichip your help would be appreciated.Cesar Ijust wanted to say Hi and see how your doing.

Jeff,

If they have the unichip software than you're better off having them tune your setup on the street or dyno. Just make sure they have alot of experience tuning FI cars. The base maps that I send out are just that, something in between where I know the motor will be reliable at the cost of power. With a little tuning 440whp isn't to far off and can still be reliable on the APS kit IMO.
