Default Turbonetics Tune ?

Hey guys have been reading up on the Turbonetics kit which seems to be very popular on here compared to all the other kits. I was reading that the base flash needs to tuned a bit and was wondering how people where retuning it? I know its kind of a dumb question but what are people using? E-manage ? Another flash? Ect?

Honestly even though I am more rich than 11.5 WOT, I have seen many more rides running alot richer that drive like crap and spew all kinds of smoke and smell.

So my car rides very smooth, no idle problems and unless you get WOT for normal driving around town the A/F is moderate (staying mostly in the 14's).

But because I am hoping to turn the boost up a little along with a new plenum, so getting the Emanage Ultimate will make me feel better overall

only thing that bothers me is... woudlnt it be more worth it to get the APS kit if your going to have to get an emanage for tuning... i mean I wanted turbonetics cause of the price but now it seems like thier tuning isnt nearly as perfect as they wanted it to be. seems like the aps is probbaly more worth the mo ney

Also add the price of return fuel system, oil pan, CAS wire, and some other parts.

Well are we talking the APS Single or Twin? Cause if the Twin Turbo then I would def. suggest the return fuel system and I don't have the Phunk CAS wire... Things seem fine, and hopefully I won't ever have to eat those words

Well you can still get the Turbonetics kit, but get the Tuner version with no injectors, pump, and EU.

I look back now with the options we have for engine and fuel management (AEM EMS, Emanage Ultimate, and soon TurboXS UTEC) it would be the best bet.

The kit is pimp, only thing is a flash can't really compare to alternate management that is flexable.

Yeah, but none of these parts are proven to make the kit any safer at stock boost levels.

My problem is that the Unichip is just a peice of junk. I'd much rather be running an emanage or EU any day of the week.

I wouldn't call the unichip a piece of junk, but for you and I there are zero tuners for the Unichip in FL.

If you wanted to further add adjustability the the reflash an Emanage will work just fine.
