Your Vortech plate and Belt Alignment is dead on.
Quite different than the earlier Vortech plates that were Belt eaters.
In the Fall of 2004 ( Mossy Show SD ) we saw a G35 Sedan that had an obvious mis alignment of the Blower Mounting Plate. The Blower Pully was looking like the Mounting plate was made of aluminum instead of steel.
The angle of the Drive pulleys to the Blower pulley was not in a straight line.
Yours appears to be stright.
Cheers Amy

Must have been a bad plate or bad install . Ive had mine since spring of 04 . And I think Ive only heard of one person that said thier plate and pulley didnt line up .
As for a break in for the SC...dont think there is a need for one . Maybe just to make sure every thing is working good and nothing coming loose and to tighten up the belt .....Have fun .. welcome to the F/I world
Thanks Guys .... Just want to make sure about the break in process or if there even is the need for one.
Ive also read that I need to tighten the belt etc.. as for now when I start my car in the morning the belt squeals for like 2 sec and then it goes to normal whine... Ive heard this is normal because at this time the vehicle is using all its power to turn on therefor s/c not having full power till vehicle turns over and on. Correct me if im wrong.
Also what is my car supposed to idle at?
My car is a 5AT when I have the car in drive for example my idle is on the line before the 1k mark possibly a little tiny bit lower.and it sounds as if there was a unusual noise nothing big... just wordering what it was, for example when I idle a to like 1k it goes away or if I turn my ac on, or if i put it in neutral etc.. any 1 know what this is?
other than that, Im loving the FI world.
Also last question, the vehicle can be turned off safely without having to wait, like a turbo for it to cool down etc?
Thanks Guys
