Default Auxilary input question for LC-1 WB gauge...

I was planning on installing my Innovate Motorsports wideband gauge today and got to thinking about how I am going to log rpm without the AuxBox.

Since their are auxilary inputs for the LC-1, can I rig one up to in some way readout my rpm. I have two theories, just want to verify that either might work.

1. Since the readings for the auxilary inputs come out in voltage, is there a way i can get the auxilary input to read the voltage from the ecu that corresponds to the engines rpm. I don't know if this is possible and if it is, what voltage=what rpm.

2. Since I run the Greddy TT with the E-manage which has an rpm adapter, can I just tap into the brown wire (RPM OUT) and get the LC-1 to read that same rpm output somehow.

Any info would be awesome, cause I don't feel like spending the extra money right now on the Innovate components to do this.

As far as I know there isn't a single wire that has a voltage that corresponds to RPM. The VQ35 uses a pulsing signal to represent RPM.

Just tap that wire. If the LC-1 can read a RPM input than that one will work.

Thanks for the responses but i just realized i'm actually wrong about the whole thing. The LC-1 has 2 outputs to give and ecu or datalogger the afr and not the other way around. So nothing I'm thinking of will technically work with this cause they are not inputs. I guess i have to buy the rpm converter from innovate.
