EGTs with FI, what are yall getting?
cruising im at ~500-600, full boost the highest i hit is ~800-900. my plenum increased them ~50-100, i was ~400 cruising before.
my probe is about 16 inches from the engine.
i saw a previous post where some were hitting ~1200-1400. thats crazy!

That's normal if you put the probe where it's supposed to go (3 or 4 inches from the cyl head). Mine will be farther away as well though, I'm not taking off a header!
Where did you tap yours? Did you have to weld on a bung?
If you probe is with in a couple inches from the head . You will see over 1400 degrees at redline . No problem . The more timing retard..the higher the temp . When I first started road tuning and had plenty of timing retard , I saw 1500 degree's a couple of times . Cruising is from 590 to 630 depending on load .

Mine's right after the head, like 2-3 inches, and I get a maximum of about 820 celcius under full load, around 1500F. It usually stays right below 800C. That number was actually higher before my last tune at GRD (up to almost 900).
this thread has already become worthless.. because unless it is specified C or F after every single mention of any temperature number, then there is no way for anyone to know wtf you are talking about. You also have to specify where exactly the sensor is, because the different is pretty big.
Also, EGT gauges are pretty slow to respond, and EGT doesnt really tell you anything unless you know at least your A/F at the same time... EGT gauges are worthless unless you have a probe in each cylinder, IMHO.

If you bought the Zietronix after April it has a option to show C or F
With one probe...the best you can do is put it in the header that runs the hottest...if you know which one it is

1400F max with continious WOT running. For me, anything about 1450F is cause for concern.
And no, EGT gauges are not worthless. There are plenty of instances where Wideband AF can be totally normal, and your EGT's very hot.

I screwed that up badly.......Meant to say......I saw 815 C. [ 1500 F ] at redline and cruising is 590 C. to 630 C.
